Listing not accurate, needs items and cleaning on exterior

The house is in a great area. Nice dock. It needs a good cleaning. As we walked to front door we walked into spider webs, the back yard was dirty, trash, tables were filthy. I had to clean them before sitting down. There were cigarette buds on the back patio. Before booking I confirmed with the contact person that there was a spa. He wrote back yes there is a hot tub. We got to the property, there was no hot tub. My husband hurt his back and after the drive I knew he would need that. I contacted them and asked where is the hot tub? The contact person said oh it's in the master bedroom. First off there is no jetted tub in master or any other bathroom. Also, that is not a hot tub if it was there but that would have been nice if it was. There were no towels in the kitchen or no hand towels or wash clothes in bathroom. Downstairs toilet was clogged when we arrived. We found the kitchen towels in the dryer but never found any wash clothes or hand towels for bathrooms. The listing needs to be corrected and take hot tub off the listing. If he would have told me there is no hot tub, I would have booked a different property. The property just needs a good cleaning on exterior and stocked with the essentials on the interior. Master bedroom had to be propped opened as it has a combination lock on it and we did not have the code. The door handle to 2nd bedroom is falling off. This house just needs some TLC.

Ripoff

The house was completely dirty, barely any towels, the front of the house was full of garbage, the bed linens where dirty, not changed when the prior guest left the house. I paid a lot of money for this house, and it was the first house that VRBO has that is not what it shown on the website.

Nice home needs upkeep and amenities

The home is nice and was clean on the inside (not counting some dirty cleaning paper towels found on the living room floor at check-in). But the back and side yards were overgrown with weeds reaching two feet tall or more. The red umbrella shown in the photo was either broken or not serviceable as the stand is disassembled, the shade for the swinging rocker was torn and nonfunctional, and there was no other source of shade. There were no hand-towels, paper towels or rags of any kind (also mentioned by a previous reviewer posted during our stay), although when we inquired some cleaning cloths were promptly delivered. There were only 7 forks (for a house purporting to sleep 10 - 12), limited supplies of flatware and other utensils, and no ice trays (thankfully we brought our own). The coffeemakers were a mix of broken parts that we cobbled together to make work, the family room recliner was broken and stayed in the up position, the master bedroom door had a funky electronic lock as mentioned in the previous review, and the front door lock was rickety at best (screws had to be tightened to get it to lock). As also previously mentioned, the paddle boat was covered in moss debris with a dead turtle in it, and if you care about how long it takes to get to fast water, this is about as far as you can be - about 20 minutes at 5mph. The BBQ worked fine and the owner had filled the propane tank for us. So overall OK, but with a little effort this place would be much nicer.

Very lacking in the details

Where to begin... First, there was no soap in any of the bathrooms, nor any hand towels anywhere in the house. We basically dried our hands on our pants. And no trash cans either, so we just put the trash in a drawer. And the faucets are lacking screens, so the water just sprays out everywhere. Nor was there any kitchen towels. Short on utensils - no vegetable peeler. No pots/pans have lids. One of the recliners is broken and won't un-recline. The paddleboat has a dead turtle in it. No check-in instructions from the host until I messaged him the night before. No instruction booklet at the house to teach you anything. For instance, we had no idea how to change the AC settings. The master bedroom doesn't have a normal door handle, but an external door handle with a combination. And it locks automatically when shut. So if no one is inside the room and the door closes, then you're locked out and there is no provided combination to get back inside. oops.

Delta Home

Spacious Delta house in quite area only about 30 minutes from fast water. Simple interior decently appointed for most needs, back patio has a couple of tables in full sun, consider bringing something for shade. Communicate with owner if you intend to use dock for a boat.

Holiday Getaway

I needed a house near my parents for myself, my husband, my son & daughter and their significant others. This home afforded us lots of room, a lovely kitchen and comfy bedrooms. The backyard on the water was spectacular but unfortunately it rained the entire week we were here so we didn’t get to utilize it. We would definitely stay here again.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. I was a constable. It was nice and clean spacey and I was happy. It was just raining a little bit and we can go outside but overall this is the place I would choose again.

Great location

The home is large and looks like it was recently remodeled. There were no instructions in the unit or the confirmation which would have been helpful as to the internet, HVAC, checkout etc. Right on the water which was nice.
