Let's make memories with your family in the (Summer) or (Winter) at this year round MN, pet friendly lake cabin w/ a private sand beach.

Enjoy the gorgeous views of the water and nature at your doorstep, grill, play games, or cozy up w/ a bonfire. Relax on the beach, swim, fish from the dock, jump into a paddle boat, kayak or get on a paddle board for more scenery and adventure.

Also, perfect for winter sledding & located on the snowmobile trail.

~ Many guests have also enjoyed troll hunting!

Plenty of space to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. You can gather on the large reclining sectional in the living room for movies or grab a game from the entertainment center. You can also enjoy a beverage by the fireplace in the porch overlooking the lake. There is a queen bed in the first floor bedroom and a spacious 13x31 ft second bedroom upstairs room with 2 queen beds and a brand new sofa sleeper, and a television.

The wrap-around porch and deck afford you the perfect opportunity to sit back and enjoy the bonfire or in the winter watch everyone sledding from a distance, to take in the view of the lake, or to just watch the kids or pups play.

Adventure into Detroit Lakes to enjoy the bustling tourist city, and fun events downtown or hosted by Detroit Mountain, or go just down the road to the cute town of Richwood for ice cream, gas, or essentials. There are also groomed snowmobile trails surrounding the cabin.

Outdoor security cameras may be in use to monitor property.

If traveling in the winter during a period of heavy snow, some cars with less tire traction may have difficulty getting up the driveway. In the past, guests have parked at the top of the hill but it has rarely been an issue.

So much fun!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! This house exceeded all expectations. It had every amenity we could think of, making our vacation seamless and enjoyable. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, which we really appreciated. We especially loved playing in the water and taking advantage of the water toys provided. It added an extra layer of fun to our trip. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway.

Fall Getaway

The Buffalo Lake Cabin was a perfect place for a fall getaway. The house was warm and cozy and the outside air was crisp and clean. We enjoyed the fall colors and the lake views. Our lab enjoyed playing fetch in the lake and we enjoyed watching his antics. The cabin had everything we needed. Thank you!

Beautiful Rustic Cabin!

Our family had the best time staying at this beautiful cabin! From all the impeccable rustic decor to all the thoughtful amenities, this place really has it all! It was much bigger than I expected and offered us great space for our two tween children and our pup! The waterfront was great, lots of little fish swimming around the dock, even seen a baby snapping turtle. The kids had a blast using the slide, kayaks, paddle boat/board, we played board games and watched family movies. We made memories we will never forget and would definitely come back and stay here again!

Best Rental!

This was our second stay at Buffalo Lake Cabin. It is just a stunning and private cabin with a wonderful deck to relax on. The beach with the shallow wading area is perfect for dogs (would be perfect for kiddos too). We love this place and we will be back! Thank you for another wonderful stay!

This is an awesome property. The host thought of everything! I would stay here again for sure. There was plenty to do. Fishing, nice sandy bottom to the lake for swimming. Private beach and fire pit! Very, very happy to have found this gem!

Memorable Stay!

Last minute getaway, turned into a must go again! From the ease of checking in to the gift basket upon arrival. Ramey knows how to set up at Minnesota lake cabin. Our little family of 3 + our lab, had an enjoyable quiet weekend taking in the serene landscape overlooking Buffalo Lake. The paddle boat and kayaks made for endless fun. The stockpile of firewood made our evenings memorable! We will definitely be revisiting this Buffalo Lake Cabin! The Nielsens

Great Family Getaway

Lovely time! The cabin was clean and well-organized. We appreciated the extra supplies and made use of the fishing poles and a few bandaids. :D We loved using the paddleboard and little kids kayak, etc. The lake was cleared around the dock and slide and was perfect for swimming and kids learning to paddle around. Swim shoes are a must- lots of snails, especially as you get a few feet past the slide. No issues with itch from snails though. We were surprised to not have any issues with mosquitoes- thought they'd be thick in the woods at night. The sand areas along the beach and off the back deck were nice and clean too. The kids liked exploring the games inside during rainy parts of the trip. They especially like the big dice. Ramey checked in prior, shortly after arrival, and a time or two during our stay, which was great. Good communication. Hoping to come back next summer!

Beautiful cabin!

Had a great week at this cabin with our family of five plus 2 Labrador retrievers. This property is quiet, peaceful, clean and well appointed! We appreciated the private sandy beach, floating dock, kayaks, paddle boat, two grills, fishing gear and plenty of space! Very close to the Richwood stores for supplies, liquor… Easy drive into Detroit Lakes!

Summer at the Lake

Our family of 5 + 2 doggos spent a week here in July. It was the perfect fun at the lake experience. Weather was perfect, lake was beautiful and warm. 3 little girls had a great time swimming and paddle boarding. Highly recommend. Was perfect for our family!!

Amazing stay

When I say this VRBO was top notch, they were so nice from a little card, snacks, it being clean, the best location, and just checking in to make sure everything was okay. No issues at all, my family all collectively agreed that we would like to stay here again in the future!

Family trip

My family loved this cabin. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed using the kayak, paddle boats, paddle board and the fishing pole. We had a fire several nights. Our dog loved playing in the water and we even made a sandcastle. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful weekend at the lake. We were welcomed right from the start with a gift basket of goodies. The couch and throw blankets are perfect for curling up and watching movies. The cabinets were stocked with necessities in both the kitchen and bathroom- seasonings, coffee, first aid, sunscreen, laundry detergent, shampoo, and even some toothpaste in case you forgot. The kayaks and water toys were well clean and well maintained. And the beds…best beds, pillows and linens we have come across in any rental thus far.

Cozy Cabin Christmas

The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 7. We arrived in the evening, it was dark outside and we were greeted with a very cozy ambiance. A warm and beautifully decorated cabin that resembles a Hallmark movie set. The fireplace was on, and the welcome basket had perfect snacks for us hungry travelers while we made our dinner. The cabin was very clean and was also well equipped, from our necessities to entertainment, tv(s), puzzles, board games, and a roomy 4 season porch for our 10 years old to run around in. The host was very easy to reach when we had a question. We are planning to go back this summer too❣️

Wonderful Getaway

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin! The place was so cozy and the lake setup was perfect with all the fun water toys and beach seating. I appreciated the hosts attention to detail and how easy they were to communicate with. Definitely one of our favorite stays!

We had an excellent week in the sun and on the lake at this cabin. Plenty of room to spread out. The cabin had everything you’d think of looking for and more. Would stay again and would highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

Very Rustic cabin that could use updates. Very small master bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen had poor working space, no dishwasher or disposal. Overall cabin lighting was poor. Beach, firepit and Grills were great as was the deck. This property was overpriced for the size and amenities.

Excellent place!

This place was amazing! Perfect for family time - lots for kiddos to do and our dogs loved it! Clean, cozy cabin feel and decor, and had everything we needed (fully stocked kitchen with appliances and cooking utensils, toiletries, etc). Ramey was very communicative, and we had no issues with our stay. Nice dock to tie the pontoon, clean beach with sand, and good swimming. Caught lots of panfish, perch, northern pike, and bass. Welcome binder and basket were a nice touch. A+++

Quick 4 night family trip

This was a great cabin with a nice private beach. I was looking for a quick getaway with my husband and kids. This was perfect. Ramey was very responsive and helpful with my random questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing cabin!
