"The place was perfect for what we were looking for. We considered this a camping trip on the lake with easy lake access by boat, so it more than satisfied our needs. Unfortunately, our boat was too large (28’ Sea Ray) to fit down Goose Creek channel, but the location was right next to Asheville Bay Marina, so we rented a slip there for the weekend. "This was a last minute reservation for an unexpected stay over Thanksgiving. Ashville is my hometown and I loved being central to family, shopping and visiting old haunts. The property turned into a winter wonderland and the cabin was super cozy. I was able to make several Thanksgiving side dishes thanks to the stocked kitchen.
