I had a lot of work to do in my room but needed to have a meal. I asked if I could eat my meal in my room, so ordered it and began to wait. "Digital door keys worked perfectly and you didn't have to put one in some silly holder before switching the lights on. My only improvement suggestion would be to invest in a second coffee machine. Queuing for coffee every morning is no fun."

"Whilst I notice other reviewers mention refurbishment, there was not much disruption when I visited (early May 2024) Plus points - Check in was easy and very welcoming. Bedroom was spacious, modern, clean and facilities in room were good. There was a bath and shower over which was nice and although the bathroom definitely did need refurbishment (was dated and showing wear and tear) it was clean, which was the most important thing. "The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent."
