"The house is in a beautiful spot, looking out over a verdant manicured lawn sloping down to the jungle and then ultimately out to the ocean far below. Monkeys visit the property daily. It is up a long single track road that climbs up the mountain above the Golden Rock hotel. The house itself has a big wide wrap-around porch, and open doors that let the breeze through. "What a change of scenery this was compared to living in a city! Now that I'm back home, I miss the sounds of nature from this place. At first, the sounds of the insects, goats and chickens was kind of a shock to my system. I had a hard time sleeping for the first night or two. But I totally got used to it, and now I miss it. "The hotel is isolated from the happenings on the island. I was told that the hotel was fully booked but there were no other cars onsite besides my rental. There was no one available for common questions and the gate was closed by 5pm.
