"What a strange place. Felt kind of shabby and unloved. Front desk unattended on several occasions. Staff slow and sometimes unhelpful. Hallway carpets scuffy. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was very good either. On the plus side, king balcony was large and had a nice lake view. Bed very comfortable and sheets were nice. I guess this is all you can hope for in such a small town? "

"On the north side of town (a few miles from downtown) but within walking distance of Kahill's restaurant which is worth something. Large room, comfortable bed, very decent hotel breakfast buffet. With us not on the top floor, we heard stomping around from above at all hours but that may have just been the luck of the draw to have had something like 300 pound insomniacs up there."

"This is a very nice B&B located conveniently to the attractions around Kerr Lake Reservoir . It is owned and operated by a couple from the Netherlands who sprinkle a little Dutch into the breakfast. The house was a pre-civil war Tobacco Plantation home. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and Martin, our host was very attentive and helpful. I would rate it a very good value"
