"This was a great stay. Very modern. Location seems far from town, but is very easy to access via local train and very convenient if you want to see the Miyajima (there is also a ferry from DT to Miyajima). Onsen is mixed gender and provides bathing suits for guests. There is outdoor and indoor bathing options. The restaurant is one of the best meals we have ever had. A very special, multi-course dinner that is included in the hotel stay."

"Super helpful and friendly staff Found some of the food challenging at times but they accommodated my request for vegetarian meals It felt like a luxury stay"

"車でホテルまで行きました。 宮島は道が狭く、分かりづらいのですが、 スタッフの方が行き、帰り共に車で先導して頂きました。時間もチェックアウト後でも対応頂 とても助かりました。"

"スタッフも、みなさん親切で大変よかったです。"

"Great location for visiting Miyajima, but be aware that the rooms are very small, especially the bathroom. Food was excellent at breakfast buffet!"

"最寄り駅から近く、駐車場もあります。 備え付けのテレビで、施設や部屋の案内が表示されるようになっていて分かりやすいです。"

"Rooms were clean and staff were very kind and helpful. Beds were a bit hard for my taste but weren’t bad. Rooms are smaller than American rooms but still nice and met the necessity. Breakfast was tasty and cost 1100 yen if you chose to eat. They offer both traditional Japanese food and also western foods. Coffee was very tasty."

"Wonderful stay on a wonderful island. I recomend booking the ocean view room."

"Friendly staff Shuttle service from ferry to hotel (and vice versa) was very convenient and helpful as there was some mobility issues The onsen was very pleasant and relaxing and the overall ryokan experience was very enlightening. The rooms were a bit rustic"

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Miyajima Machiya Hotel Shiomachi-An. The location is excellent, making it a lovely base for exploring Miyajima. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the omakase dinner. It was an exceptional culinary experience, thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. We were especially happy to have the opportunity to try fugu (pufferfish) for the first time, which made the evening even more memorable. Breakfast was also delicious and a wonderful way to start the...
