"Bed was hard as a rock. Asked the manager and said the beds all had firm mattresses"

"Staff was exceptional. Great value."

"Late night grill and bar to get a meal . Grounds are beautiful Enjoyed driving around resort area. Lake is beautiful as well. I love WV"

"Room not very clean, smashed bugs on wall. View was great from room. Property needs many update and many repairs needs done."

"Trash can out front was overflowing our entire stay. Room was very small for 4 adults. Hotel was out dated, but clean. Room service was sporadic. Hotel is quiet."

"My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. A car was parked just a few feet in front of the window, making the room feel uncomfortable and offering no proper view or privacy. The noise was also unbearable, making it difficult to relax. There was no TV in the room, which was another major disappointment. To make matters worse, the staff was unresponsive to our requests and showed little willingness to help. Overall, the poor room conditions, excessive noise, lack of basic amenities,...

"Good place to stay with pet. Some area to walk, but not a lot. Breakfast was minimal, but acceptable."

"The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Otherwise, it is absolutely awful. The rooms are dirty, the furniture is stained, and the hotel is clearly not maintained. We had to request a room change as the first room had a pungent, musty smell as if it were recently flooded. Upon leaving I asked for a receipt to show that I had not made any incidental charges to the credit card authorization they took. I literally had to argue with the front desk representative to get one. This...

"The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast could use some help. We stayed 3 days and it was the same food every day."

"We stayed here after a long day on the road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the building is well maintained. We would stay here again"

"Great clean stop!"

"Renovation still going on in the lobby but the rest of the property was beautiful. Laminate flooring in the rooms is fabulous. So easy to keep clean. Lots of well placed outlets. Both men I encountered at the desk were pleasant and helpful. Location great for visiting New River Gorge NP."

"Other"

"This hotel could use a complete updating."

"We check the bed wherever we stay don't care it is what we do. In that process we discovered that the mattress cover and the box spring is completely stained with blood. which freaked my wife out. I understand that hotels have a lot to do and not all are clean. but that was a little much. The hotel is old and been updated several times over the years. But you can only do so much. Just disappointed that it was that dirty and at least on the outside not that clean. the rear lot was empty but can...

"This facility was hard to find. The sign from the road was Smart Extended Stay - or something like that, but in front of the building are a bunch of U-hauls available for rent, so you can't really see the faciltity from the road. Don't go down the road to the back - the office is in the front building. Park in the front. The front desk person was very nice. Check in and out was easy. The room was fine, nothing to complain about. The room must have originally been 2 double beds (or queens)...

"DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE! I arrived at night in the pouring rain after a long day of driving. The office was locked, with a note on the door saying to call this number. When I called and asked to check in, I was told they had no rooms because of a “water problem”, despite the room already being booked and paid for in advance. I was left stranded with nowhere to stay, and the guy could not have cared less. I said, “You couldn’t have called people to give them a heads up so they could make other...
