The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up, but what really stood out was the unique personal touch — they even had a record player with a Jim Croce album ready to play. That alone made the experience feel special and memorable. It’s clear they care about creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, not just a place to sleep. "We loved our stay at Ruth and Scott’s cabin! The cabin itself was cozy and warm, perfect for huddling up together on a chilly winter night, and very thoughtfully stocked with some delicious scones. The hosts also provided some very useful directions on accessing the more out-of-the way park on the island, which provided a perfect short hike with our dogs. The dogs themselves enjoyed all the trails around the property with plenty to sniff, and we were tickled with the gnome trail. We’d love to go...

"My wife and I got away for a long weekend after being kid-free. We brought kayaks and wanted to explore the area. We enjoyed the location very much, with easy access to Hoodsport and Hama Hama. The access to the water wasn't as easy as we hoped, but the fact that there's a little county park in front of the house did work out for us. The neighbors seem very protective of the beach though, so that's weird. Luckily the smoke from the Bear Gulch fire didn't come down low enough to bother us either,...
