SPC 2013 is a Pet Friendly Upstairs 1 BR with Seasonal Beach Setup

A dog under 30 pounds is allowed at this property for an additional $100 plus tax nonrefundable pet fee. There is also a $10 fee collected by Sandpiper Cove on-site. Current shot records are required at check-in as well. Although Sandpiper Cove allows pets, pets are not allowed on the beach. No beach in Destin/Okaloosa county is pet friendly.

This 1 bedroom/1 bath condo is located in family friendly Sandpiper Cove and offers complementary seasonal beach service (2 chairs and an umbrella.)

Updated for a great vacation, this condo has plenty of comfortable seating for the whole family. The sofa folds out to a Queen sized bed to accommodate 2. The large flat screen TV is perfect to enjoy any college football games or late night movies. The adjacent dining area seats 4. The dining area is located perfectly to interact with anyone in the kitchen, living area, or the balcony. The kitchen is equipped with full sized appliances and all the cookware and dishes need to cook up a quick bite before heading to one of the five complex pools downstairs.

The bedroom offers a Queen sized bed, the condo to sleep 4 comfortably. The bathroom offers a combination tub/shower and a vanity sink area.

This condo is located on the second floor (no elevator, just stairs) and overlooks one of the community pools and the golf course.

Sandpiper Cove has plenty of amenities throughout the complex. Tennis courts, a 9-hole 3 par golf course, BBQ grills, five swimming pools, and coin laundry are all available for your use during your stay. The private Sandpiper Cove beach is located about a 10-12 minute walk away or there is parking on the beachside; spots do fill up quickly during the summer. This condo is dog friendly for pets under 30 pounds and an additional non-refundable pet fee of $100 is required when booking. Shot records and a $10 fee are required on-site as well.

We've been going to Sandpiper Cove for over 20 years, and we love it. This place was perfect for our family of 4 ( 2 corgis). It was clean and well-stocked. Being right next to one of the pools was great! We would absolutely rent this again!

Geat family and dog friendly resort

Enjoyed our stay and the amenities (beautiful private beach with chairs 5 min walk or drive if you want to take equipment, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard).Only complaint was the cooking skillets were not good at all and we did not use. the other pots and pans were nice. There was no ice trays in the freezer so we bought some and I hope the cleaning company left them for future guests.

Beach Getaway

The place was exactly as listed. It was a perfect size for a family with small kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and the area was clean. It was located a ways from the beach but an easy car ride. The pool was right behind the apartment and was wonderful with our small kids.

Very outdated for the price

I really didn’t want to be the one to not leave a good review however I feel like a few things need to be said given the price of the stay at this place. To start off the entire steps away back and forth when 2 people are walking up them you can see they have tried to repair them multiple times when in all reality they need replaced. The dryer does not vent out of the condo it blows hot air Right into the bedroom. The ceiling vents in the living room are covered in dust as well as the ceiling right where the vent blows out. Also the bathroom closet door covered in dust. So needless to say the cleaners do not worry about that kind of stuff. I don’t think I could spend my money here again.

Summer Beach Trip

We really liked the property. It was clean and just the right size for the 4 of us. It was an easy walk to the beach and it conveniently came with beach chairs and an umbrella at the beach which was awesome. Also the complex had so much to do, pickle ball courts and golf course. Also the pool right out the back of the unit was nice. It was centrally located in the middle of Destin and close to everything. The washer and dryer in the unit was a huge plus. We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely would stay again if we come back.

Great choice if you're staying right in Destin!

We loved it, even though we were at the back of the property and could hear motorcycles and sirens. The property is enclosed and communal. Lots of pools. Very pretty. Hot tubs! Nice people. Easy access to the beach! Would highly recommend for families wanting to be right in Destin. The chair set up was so nice!

Booking was what we expected and they were accommodating with a date change. The condo was nice, clean but the kitchen supplies were dated and not good condition. Our ac unit didn’t turn off and started leaking to the unit below. I received a phone call at 8:00 Tuesday night stating maintenance has to come right then. It was about a two hour process and a temp unit had to be set up. We had to meet maintenance again the following day. Time taken away from our vacation waiting for service people was irritating. The Internet/Roku also did not work. Several calls for assistance and it was never resolved so we had to log in to our own hotspots and providers. We thought we would be given at least a night of credit bc of inconveniences but they have never even checked in with us about our stay.

Perfect spot near the beach and local amenities.

I stayed for a month and it was the perfect location for a long-term visit. Less than a 10 minute walk to the beach, through the complex. I loved having the pool right at the condo. The location in Destin is great. Target and Winn Dixie are right across the highway. It was nice to stay in a community setting rather than in a high-rise. I loved it!

Fall Break

Our stay was great. The weather was phenomenal. The unit's placement of the TV in the bedroom is VERY awkward you have to lay on your side to watch TV it is not in front of the bed it is to the side and up. Also, the Dryer is ventless therefore the heat comes in to the bedroom, which then makes it uncomfortably hot in the bedroom. The pull out sofa bed needs to be replaced it has holes in it from the springs it is not in any way comfortable even for a child. Otherwise it was a beautiful place.

Simple but just what you need

This condo is just as it is described. You have the bare basics (bring your own paper towels, tissues, and beach towels) but that is really all you need for a beach getaway. The bed is comfy. In unit washer and dryer is a nice touch, but I did not use it on this trip. Your backyard is one of the complex's pools and one of the holes on the 9-hole course. The beach is a short (8 min) walk or you can drive. Two beach chairs and an umbrella are provided and set-up for you which is GREAT! There is a (cash ONLY) snack bar on the beach that has a good prices and selection -- even beer! Overall, the location is PERFECT! The complex has everything you could possibly need. The condo has the basics for an easy beach trip. Enjoy!
