SunDestin 101 is a 1st floor, two bedroom/two bath condo of a Gulf front complex in the heart of beautiful Destin! This master bedroom has a king-size bed an attached private bath. The second guest room has a full and a twin with an attached bathroom. The sofa converts to a queen-sized bed and there are three flat screen TVs. With a spacious kitchen and tile throughout, SunDestin 101 is sure to please.

Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Contact us for alternate date requests and further assistance! All monthly rentals are subject to an additional $150 cleaning fee.

SunDestin is a vacation rental complex conveniently located in the heart of Destin. It is unmatched in terms of facilities and guest services: check out the two pools (outdoor and heated indoor), Splash pad for kids, exercise room, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, massage therapy, onsite restaurant, tiki bar, and gift shop. There are also coin operated laundry facilities on each floor.

My family vacationed with SunDestin for my children’s fall break. The location was perfectly centered around all the restaurants and activities we engaged in. The staff was super supportive and provided immediate responses for our concerns. I went to the onsite restaurant for a meal or two and gift shop for souvenirs. The was beach was beautiful and I enjoyed the early morning and late evening walks. The outdoor and indoor pool were great. My kids throughly enjoyed themselves at the beach and pools. Access to the beach and pool was extremely easy from my room. The room configuration was great, everyone had space to relax and do their own thing. I would recommend the SunDestin to anyone.

The space was perfect! All amedities listed were included. The view to the Gulf was everything we needed and more. Location was central to where we needed and wanted to be. I'd book it again!

The condo was nice and fairly clean except that there was a lot of sand on the floor when we arrived. The view was no great, had a great view of the pool wall. Restaurant on site was not good we were under the weather for 2 days after eating there. Condo management and security let large crowds party until 2 AM playing loud music, yelling and throwing beer cans from the top balcony, when the front desk was called they said they were unaware of the parties and would send security but they never showed up, a follow up call management said they couldn’t find their security officers and was having trouble dispensing the crowd.

Review

We love staying at Sundestin Beach Resort but this was our first time to stay in 0101. It’s the perfect location for small kids, but the unit it’s self isn’t that great. There were roaches in floor as soon as we walked in (roach spray was even under the sink), the beds are CHEAP (you could feel the springs, the pillows were hard, the kitchen table chairs were broke, and the the patio chairs were even broke (we couldn’t even sit outside). We had all intentions of renting this unit again for next year, but definitely not now.

Great location, condo can use a little work

The convenience of being on the the ground floor is awesome. There are a couple minor issues that can be addressed in the room itself. None of which should hinder your trip if your there to enjoy the beach and not sit in the room. Second bathroom has water that drips through the wall while the shower is on indicating a leak at the shower head. There were also a few unwanted insects we found dead and alive. A monthly pest control visit would probably take care of this issue. Patio chairs are in rough shape and could be update. If the owner put just a little more back into the unit it would be a great room. Customer service with real joy was very responsive. No washer and dryer need to be added to the description. But like I said none of these issue really affected our stay. Just providing feedback so the improvements can be made to make this a great overall unit at the Sun Destin.

I do not recommend this condo.

When we arrived at the condo around 5:30pm, the condo had not been cleaned at all. Dirty towels on the floor and dirty linens still on the beds, showers and toilets filthy etc. I contacted Realjoy and they sent somebody to clean the unit while we went to eat. However, when we arrived back to the condo, housekeeping had put the same dirty stained pillows on the bed and left the urine smelling bath mats in the bathroom. They did not sweep or mop because after taking two steps on the bare floors, our feet were filthy. We had to wait until around 10:30pm for them to bring clean linens that we had to change and make beds ourselves. The beds are terrible and we all left with backs hurting and necks killing us. Realjoy did some somebody back to the condo to “mop” the floors the next day but she only used a dust mop and would spray a little solution on the floor. A swifter would have cleaned the floors better. The black mold in the blender was the last straw for me. I do not recommend this condo.

Excellent access to the beach

We loved our vacation completely due to the fact that this condo is on the first floor. We literally just walking out on the porch and there was the pool and beach. It was a beautiful beach. Restaurant and bar were easily accessible also. My only recommendation would be that they don't mention the actual name of the building, so it was confusing trying to find it. It's called the Sun Destin. Oh, and also, bring lots of extra towels :)

Great 1st floor condo- Family of 5

Great property! Do not let the reviews deter you from this great place. Is it an older condo, yes…are there minor things that can be a little annoying, yes…but nothing to ruin a vacation. Yes the water drains slowly in the bath but it’s really not an issue. The blinds in the front room don’t go all the way to the windowsill so you may have to put a rolled up towel so no one can see form the outside into the room…again nothing major for the location and convenience of the room. If you want a view of the water you won’t get that from this condo, it is on the 1st floor and there is a wall blocking the view. It is still a great location…you can walk right out to the pool and are on the beach in minutes from the balcony. We did not find it noisy at all which we were surprised being right by the pool. There is a mini Fudpuckers on location which has good food and drinks, you can even have it delivered to your chair rental on the beach if you would like. Check in went smoothly and all staff we spoke with were very nice and helpful. The store on site has everything you may have forgotten and not with a crazy up charge for convenience . We were satisfied with our stay and would stay in this condo again.

Honest Review of Property...

I want to start by saying, I love Destin and I loved the location of this particular room. It was very convenient to walk right off of the balcony, onto the pool deck and to the beach. I have no problems with an older building, but I do expect the furniture to be decent. There were plenty of smaller, non vacation altering issues, but the couch was broken, along with a completely unusable sofa bed, which we were counting on. No one told us that there was an air mattress we would have to use in place of the sofa bed. We wound up going to buy one ourselves. The rental management company was responsive, and brought us new sheets for the bed and left us a very nice gift basket for our inconvenience. I would encourage the owners to get some new furniture though!! The other reviews are correct as well, the tubs don't drain well, cleanliness is mediocre, and there aren't many pots/pans and utensils. All in all, we weren't in the room much, because that's not why we were there. But I wouldn't stay at this property again.

Very Bare Condo

I have stayed in many condos on the panhandle and in many at this property. This was by far the worst condo I have ever stayed in. The kitchen supplies were at a bare minimum. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, that I slept on the couch. There was no curtain or blinds covering the window in the second bedroom which faces the front of the building. Being that this condo is on the 1st floor, no one could change in there. The doors to the bathroom don’t open and shut correctly. There was dead bugs on the floor. The property managers had someone come by to spray and hang a sheet on the window. I like the Sundestin for the location and indoor pool so my child could swim in January but I’ll never stay in this room again.

Enjoyed our stay but could have been better.

This was our 3rd year staying at this property. Disappointed this year that the hot tub and splash pad were out of commission during our entire trip. The Condo we stayed in #101 needs improvement. The bathtubs did not drain well, the sliding glass door was almost impossible to open, the large burners on the stove did not work well and the microwave quit working our last night there.

The overall experience is bad, first too expensive for what they offer, looks like they never clean that place up, the floor was filthy sticki and sandy like they didnt sweep or mop the master bedroom bed is not confy at all, they have cockroach and mice, you can here every move from people upstairs, there is a leak on a toilet so it keep flushing all day and all night, bad experience never coming back to this place

Family Vacation

The condo was clean and as pictured. The beds were comfortable. The sheets were a little worn out, but not unbearable. The kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels for us. The location of the unit by the pool was perfect. I enjoyed the room and would stay again.

Our customer service experience was positive and the location in proximity to the pool and beach was fantastic. However, the property is quite dated. The popcorn ceiling has a dark substance which may be mold. One of the stove burners doesn’t work, etc. It is also notable that the unit does not have a washer and dryer, which is usually standard in similar condo units.

We liked the location beside the pool, as we a 5 yr old that loved to swim. I do wish that it had more trash bags and some type of cleaner for the counters besides that we really enjoyed it.

We were extremely pleased with the condo. My only issue was I felt the floor could have been cleaner. It did leave the bottom of our feet feeling dirty. Other than that the room was perfect. Location was perfect and the condo had everything we needed for our stay.
