  • Freshly renovated 1BR/1BA Unit 3 conveniently located on the first floor of the Penthouse building right near pool, barbeque area and laundry room. Unit #3 has a new queen sofa sleeper to accommodate additional guests. Kitchen has new stainless steel appliances - including full size stove, oven,dishwasher- and nice bar seating for 4. Flat screen TVs are located in living room and bedroom. Unit #3 has tile flooring in main area and carpet in bedroom with new queen mattress and bed. Bath has backlit LED mirror with new vanity and shower. Fresh décor and coziness of unit is sure to make your beach stay extra special and comfortable. The beautiful Emerald Coast beach is a short, easy walk from Unit #3

    Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
    Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
    Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
    Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
    Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
    • Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
    • Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
    • Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
    • S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

Stellar Anniversary Vacation!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After debating where we’d spend our 55th Wedding Anniversary....we were drawn back to our “happy place “...Silver Dunes!! We were not disappointed. In spite of threats of inclimate weather, EVERYTHING was absolutely wonderful. Our Condo was neat and clean as expected. The patio and its furniture was comfortable. The MAJOR assets, of course, are the beach and the beach pavilion AND the staff!! Amber was most accommodating and patient...from booking to departure. Mary Lou always courteous and helpful. Allen is an exceptional security man...so helpful, concerned, and knowledgeable. The landscape team was efficient and proactive. Mae, in particular, was helpful! She provided weather updates and even took a few anniversary pictures for us. ALL the staff, constantly checked on our welfare...Amber, Allen,& Mae especially, as they made their rounds. Hurricane Helene missed us. We did not have to evacuate. The Shrimp Basket,First Watch Restaurant and the Marina were wonderful. Corpus Christi Catholic Church was beautiful and welcoming,as always. We had a memorable vacation. Our thanks to Silver Dunes Staff and Owners.

This picture must be AI generated because this room is 1 on a sale of 1 to 5. It is in very poor shape. There is bird poop all over the outdoor patio and patio furniture.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Recently stayed in Unit 3 at Silver Dunes. The beach here is spectacular. One of the very best in the country. Soft side and shallow water. Great for kids and adults. The pool was also very nice but the children’s pool was closed. Our condo was just ok. The furniture and overall condition were pretty tired and needed a complete refresh. The photo’s in this case we significantly better than the actual condo condition. We did get to see some other condo’s that had been upgraded and they we really nice. I would stay at Silver Dunes again, but would be more careful on the actual unitI rented.

Reviewer Comments: Disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit.Dust in cabinets, dishwasher did not appear dry dishes, stove unbalanced and bottom drawer not on track, some dirty dishes in cabinet, mold on toilet rim, poor lighting, and closet full of stools, lamp, and other stuff.Having to u-turn to get into the facility was hard and very dangerous.beach access was good, beach chairs were useful and convenient, great hot water, helpful staff and adequate parking.

We decided a last minute trip for my wife and I, and it once again did not disappoint. Love the family environment. Love the fact that the beach isn't rows deep with chairs. Close to the water, and the room was perfect. Hope to come back next year!

Another Great Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver Dunes is a great place. Our family has vacationed at SD for 40 years. We were there in June for our family trip, but we needed another beach fix before Winter. The front desk staff members are a pleasure to talk with and of course George always had things set up perfectly. Unit 3 is a great one bedroom and the owners did a great job with the remodel. We did have a bit of a problem with some kind of green worms in the unit. My wife was pretty freaked out since we are talking about 50 or more worms over our 7 day stay. However, the front desk staff was very understanding and worked to make things right. We will be back in June and it looks like it’s going to be the whole gang!! We are concerned that all the units turning over on the same day may cause some unnecessary problems. I guess we all have to wait and see.

We always have at 3 to 8 families go the same week. A great place for kids and families. On occasions we have had some concerns such as room advertised with a washer dryer did not have them. This year the condo above us was leaking water on my bed, AC not working correctly. In all cases the management was very understanding and fixed the issues. So after 30 years only 3 concerns here at Silver Dunes. Great Staff, which also includes George, the engineers, and lawn staff. Come to Silver Dunes and feel the breeze that you expect.

Walk right out to gear landscaping on the grounds. Pool and common area are well kept. Wish we could exchange our towels more, we are the beach so every other day is ideal. Room itself was a great setup for us and very nicely decorated.
