If you haven't been to Holiday Isle, you're in for a treat. A peninsula surrounded by The Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor, it is a serene, little oasis within the heart of Destin with two and a half miles of paved trails for walking and biking. Surrounded by quiet neighborhoods, it is perfect for exploring on a bike ride with the family. It is just minutes away from restaurants, shopping, boat docks, fishing, golf, and amusements.

An easy walk along the beach will take you to the jetties, where the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor meet, a spot well-known for great snorkeling and fishing. Here you can also watch boats going out deep sea fishing and returning from the gulf to the harbor. 

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate-themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters, and Bass Pro Shop.

Nice and close to beach

We enjoyed our stay as the condo was exactly what we needed for the time we were there. The pool was beautiful, and the beach was just steps away. We do however, wish there were more explicit instructions as to what part of the beach is public vs private. We had to find out the hard way.Some other disappointments that need improvement for future guests was; There was only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for 4 people for 6 days, that’s not realistic. There was only one kitchen towel, no beach towels, the primary bathroom bathtub faucet was basically broken(but worked if you finagled it) and didn’t have basic spices (like salt/pepper) And something we couldn’t make heads or tails of, was that we were told under no circumstances were there any use of golf carts on the premises behind the gates…..yet there were golf carts EVERYWHERE inside the gates. Maybe they should get that straightened out so there’s no confusion. These are all things that can be dealt with while staying there and not 100% deal breakers, but was disappointed that these weren't a priority to make it a truly seamless stay.Maybe other units have these things, and hopefully this unit will too in the future.Would stay in this complex again as the whole area is super safe and easy drive to everything Destin.

Great Condo with a view walking distance to beach

Check in was easy once past gate. Property was clean and well maintained. Quick walk to beach cooler was in unit with a rolling cart to take to beach which was very helpful. Only request would be having kcups or coffee in unit. Great view of the harbor also. Hot tub was very hot but relaxing after a beach day. Quick drive to Target and grocery store.

Great Family Destination

This property is a wonderful family destination within easy walking distance of beach and two nice pools. Plenty to do around town with K - 18 kids. Our toddler loved the swimming and beautiful sand beaches. The property was very clean but bathrooms need new tile and flooring. Beds were medium to soft with double wrapped blankets which is nice. Nice sunset views. Kitchen was average in terms of basic necessities but fridge smelled like fish.

Great location and property

My husband and I spent a week in late October at Magnolia house. It had everything we needed, the view off the back deck was fantastic, and it's a really quick walk to the beach. Located in a gated community that is beautiful, quiet and has multiple options for pools and hot tubs. The beach service was so nice to have included - note that it runs through Oct. 31. My only feedback is that it's managed by RealJoy properties and they do not respond to any messages through the VRBO app. I found it frustrating not to be able to contact them through typical methods. And when I did finally decide to email them asking about the beach chair setup I got a run around and no clear answers, including them giving me the phone number to call the beach service directly (who told me to check with RealJoy). Overall, would definitely recommend but just know that communication could leave you frustrated depending on what you need.

Right Place: Wrong Beach

The chance to park in the parking deck is added sense of security. The view from the unit from the patio was really nice! The furniture throughout the unit was nice and comfortable. All the beach items available to use (chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc.) conveniently located in the front/outside area! walkway across the "pond" area was really scenic. What to improve: 4. Information pertaining to the chairs and umbrellas provided was not accurate. Roger is not the point of contact for the chairs at the beach on the inlet side. That is a private beach owned by the Emerald Grande Hotel; however, it's closer to the Magnolia House for walking. Roger does not service that beach. We walked to the Emerald Grande Beach then down the jetty to the gulf-facing beach. This is the better beach, and we learned that our two chairs and umbrella were located there. Can access this beach by the “pond”.

Wonderful beach condo

Just an absolutely lovely condo. Five minute walk from an amazing white sand beach. The condo was clean and had everything we wanted. A nice little bonus that we did not expect were the extra beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, pool noodles, and bodyboards that were available for use. The added bonus of beach chairs and an umbrella that was already set up and free to utilize at the beach was amazing. The pool at the facility was very nice. Perfect place to hang out. The views from the balcony were incredible. We had internet issues and management got back to us right away and fixed the issue. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation in Destin.

This property is nice and close to the beach. We enjoyed the balcony very much. Generally it was clean inside and well decorated. Nice property. Might could use a little maintenance in a few areas. The towels could have been cleaner which was the only issue for me.

Loved Our Family Trip/Stay at Magnolia House

We rented a condo in the Magnolia House. The views were awesome, the location to the pool and beach were excellent, and having beach chairs with an umbrella included was a huge perk! Great customer service when I needed a question answered. My only complaint which is more of a PSA to anyone (especially parents) looking to rent here is it’s very noisy. The sliding doors sound like a light thunder sound in all rooms when they were opened, which happened all night. The worst was the door to the staircase, it is extremely loud. Very loud banging news. You can hear it from every room even on the balcony with the door closed. Our 4 month old would jump scared all night. We moved him to our bedroom and increased the sound machine. You could still hear it but it was better than the second bedroom.
