Much needed Vacay!

My husband haven’t been on beach trip in years. This was perfect place for us! Enjoyed our trip tremendously! Only complaint was Crystal Villas charging us for beach chairs for 4 days when we only utilized them for 2 days. The chairs are set out from 9am-5pm. Check-in 4pm/ check-out 10am. Also claiming a chair setup, it’s first come first serve basis- not reserved to your condo. Crystal Villas, need to rethink this mandatory charge regardless if peak or off season.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time and absolutely love the location. We will definitely be back to this location. Our only complaint was that beds not being comfortable at all. Everything else was absolutely perfect but my 17 year old slept on the couch and my 15 year old made a bed on the floor. My husband’s had multiple back surgeries so he didn’t sleep well in the master bed. Everything was perfect except for the mattresses were horribly uncomfortable. The location was perfect for beach lovers. The kitchen was perfect for cooking small meals in. We spent and evening at the pool right outside the door and it was a nice evening. We absolutely loved our trip just wish we could have slept better while on vacation.

Little slice of heaven

I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast near the beaches, but Florida beaches by far are the prettiest and this little place snuggled amongst other places to stay is isolated away from the heavy crowds and tourists. Perfect place for relaxation. Definitely want to try to stay here again.

Pretty nice condo on first floor. Just needs a little plumbing work done in master bathroom. Shower and toilet. Great view Nice living room with large tv and kitchen has all you need.

Crystal Villas A2 - don’t waste your time/money!

We were so excited to be able to walk right out of the condo onto the beach,when we got there and walked in the place was so musty smelling. After doing a walk through and noticing how filthy the couch was and carpet we seen how dirty the cushions were at the dining table, when we picked up a cushion to look at the other side there was bugs crawling around. I took a video and sent it to the property manager and they sent out maintenance to look but determine that it wasn’t uninhabitable so they wouldn’t refund us our money or even put us in a new rental. We were very disappointment in the lack of help with the situation because there was no way we were staying in a place with bugs so we ended up having to get a motel and cut our trip short which really upset the kids they were excited to be on the beach and spend a lot of time there.

Just ok in a pinch

This condo really needs to be updated and deep cleaned. The smell when you walk in is pure musty/damp and never got any better during our stay. The sink in the hallway bathroom was a very low stream. The shower is gross, long black hair in the floor. The master bed was comfy. We booked only a few weeks before our stay, so the choices were few. We actually left a day early due to just not being comfortable. You definitely get what you pay for in this unit. We’ve been coming to Destin for many years, and we typically stay at Crystal Sands.

Super frustrated about no wifi and lack of response and solution from RealJoy Vacations

Super disappointed that we didn’t have wifi service almost the whole time we were there. We contacted them on multiple occasions with the response of “have you tried unplugging the router and replugging it in, “ Then try to connect to the unit next door, then we will make this a priority and respond first thing the next day and then nothing. Our phones didn’t have good service so we were counting on wifi to use while on our trip. If you had told us there would be no wifi we wouldn’t have booked here.

RUN!!!

DO NOT stay here if you have any self dignity. I couldn’t believe what we walked into Saturday when we booked this place for 2 nights as we were passing through. It’s absolutely filthy. The carpet is disgusting, the couch is layered with dirt. We walked in to evaluate, it had a horrible smell and we turned and walked right out. We sacrificed the money we spent in order to stay somewhere else we felt at home and clean in. we never even unpacked and I highly recommend to anyone considering this place to stay away! the owners should take much better pride in their place and the pristine location and view.. it’s such a small place and wouldn’t take much effort to update and CLEAN!!! Very disappointing to spend that money and not even feel comfortable enough to stay. And received absolutely zero compensation from RealJoy after multiple efforts to communicate and proof of that communication.

Great for a Family of 6!

We were very pleased with the convenience of the pool right out of the front door, and the ocean out the back door. It made it incredibly easy for our family of six with two of them being under 5. The property had all we needed, and the washer and dryer were a big plus for our stay! We will definitely be back!

Great location steps from the beach!

We had a great stay! It was so nice being so close to the beach, especially with small children! It was 5 steps to the stairs from the sliding glass door and around 10 stair steps to the beach. It was not anything fancy or modern but the price was doable, the location was wonderful, and it had what we needed. It would be great to see the living room furniture replaced; the pullout couch mattress was not comfortable and the living room chair was not comfortable to sit in. The pool was advised as heated but it was pretty cold! This didn’t stop our older children from getting in the pool but our little ones couldn’t handle it. There was also a day that we were notified that our door would be painted. A note was left at our door 2 days prior and we were notified through text message as well. It was no trouble and the painter was very nice. The beach service was great! There were 2 gentlemen on separate days that put chairs and umbrellas out in the morning and pulled them in at 5 pm; it was nice having that luxury. One day, one of the beach attendants cut open coconuts and served us fun drinks on the beach! We will hopefully get the return to this great location right on the beach! Thank you!

Crystal Villas

The location was magnificent! The Management company was very responsive to anything we needed. The property itself needs some sprucing up -carpet, bathroom grout, paint etc. The building has very thin walls. so be prepared to hear your neighbors.

Great view

The unit was a little outdated and the stove was leaning back towards the wall and the bottom part of the stove door was falling off. All in all being that close to the beach made everything else not important.

Great location! But property needs work

The Good: Great location on first floor and steps to the beach. 2 min walk to Henderson resort and 3 min drive to all the shops and food of East Destin. Check in and communication with host was fantastic and quick. The Bad: Condo is very outdated and was very below any standard for cleanliness…especially if customers are paying such a premium for a “cleaning fee”. We found hair and used soap bars in shower, hair in our bedding, dirty floors that were very musty, and moldy bread and food in the cabinet that had the Florida insects indulging themselves. Verdict: Great location for the price…but there’s a reason it’s on the cheaper side. If they updated and ensured cleanliness we would stay again.

Paying for beachfront, unit terribly dated

We booked this unit fairly last minute for Memorial Day weekend to stay near friends staying nearby. The layout of the unit was practically identical to most of the buildings in that area, yet this one took you back with its drab furniture, gross brown carpet and lacked upgrades. Each morning there were at least a handful of baby roaches spotted. In fairness we literally only slept and showered here and didn’t call to complain because we were only there two nights and didn’t end up doing any cooking here, not even made coffee because we were skeeved out.. We were afraid to walk around barefoot. The washer and dryer barely held the bath towels and take forever to get them just dry enough to use. The wooden side of the top bunk was not secure so our daughter was afraid to sleep up there. The booking and check in process was extremely easy and the property manager provided plenty of communication, but all the texts went to spam text and we didn’t notice until we left. Next year it’s worth spending a little more to stay elsewhere.

Beautiful view

The location and view was great! I loved the beach service! The condo was nice but the couch needs a good cleaning or replacing and the carpet felt dirty. Overall it was a nice stay because of the view, location and beach service.
