Great location but needs some updating

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit needs to be updated with living room furniture and decor. The bathroom needs a real shower, not a hand-held shower wand. How about a real coffee maker in the kitchen, not a three-cupper?

The REAL Happiest Place on Earth

Reviewer Comments: I will start with the very few cons: The condo was clean, however, our shower curtain was molded and mildewed when we arrived after hours, but once I spoke with the front office about it the morning after, someone walked up with us to exchange it right away. Upstairs neighbors can sometimes be very noisy after hours, but that is not something that can be easily controlled nowadays.The many pros: we LOVE Coral Reef and its location in Destin. Waking up in the morning and seeing that beautiful view right out your balcony is wonderful. I love the fact the units have a washer and dryer - something that is a deal breaker for me when I stay on the beach. Coral Reef is perfectly and uniquely situated so that you feel a bit isolated from the rest of the crowded beaches on old highway 98. It feels like your own private beach! It is also perfectly located in town so you are close to all things important (shopping, groceries, activities, etc.) We loved our stay and are already planning our next trip!

One thing I would comment on was the floors of our unit were very dirty. Walked around in my bare feet & they were black. it would also be nice to have some additional items in the kitchen such as a cookie sheet/jelly roll pan and liquid dish soap.

There was popcorn and other food inside the pull-out sofa and underneath it. The television had 5 remote controls on the table below it. Had to have the management team help me with plugging in my Firestick so we could stream shows.

Several nights, from May 29th to June 1, it was very noisy outside at night. Even after midnight. We love the Coral Reef Club Destin, but this was very disappointing on this stay. For the price we paid to stay there.

Great Beach Vacation

Everything we needed. Lots of bath towels provided. Recommend bringing extra toilet paper and hand/bath/dish soap. Good restaurants nearby. Property was clean and well-maintained, however something did eat a large pack of cookies on the counter one night. TV in bedroom did not work for couple days until we figured out that it was not set up properly. We did not like that multiple fisherman with multiple fishing poles were allowed to fish by the beach chairs/umbrellas. Not safe to swim with fishing hooks.

If the noise issue was corrected I would say this is the best place in Destin to stay.

Late April more crowded than expected for off-season, but still beautiful beach and convenient location. Property is well maintained, especially for age. Beach service mostly "reserved" (embarrassing to learn you have occupied someone else's) and umbrellas are close. Considerable noise from footsteps above unit and from street trucks. Parking tight and limited. One of few 1 BR condos around - and still recommended -

From the first time we stayed there we all felt very at home and have enjoyed many great winters in this unit. Great Location and Nice Decor

Reviewer Comments: This is an older and smaller condo building than where we usually stay, but it was just the two of us this time so we wanted a small unit. The location is great and the view is perfect. This unit was decorated nicely and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is two half baths that connect to a small area with a tub and a stacked w/d. It's a little awkward, but it works. The bedroom is on the front of the unit, so no view. The kitchen/dining/living area opens to a small balcony and has a beautiful ocean view. There are twin bunk beds in the hallway if you have kids. The downside is that there's not a lot of soundproofing, so it sounded like we had a herd of elephants in adjoining units. Also, they were painting the outside which was disruptive. We had to leave the front door propped open for several hours on two days for sanding and painting, so one of us had to stay in the condo during that time. It should be fine once the painting is done. They have a nice pool that we didn't use. Overall I would rent this unit again.
