"Excellent staff and rooms "

"This was a comfortable relaxing stay in the lodges. The restaurant offered a good menu and the service was good. The leisure facility was also good but unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working. We weren’t able to access the games room either. Nothing spoiled our stay and we would consider returning in the future. "

"Niki & Richard are great hosts. Lovely atmosphere, relaxed and friendly. Food is wonderful. Its an old pub so rooms are eclectic in style but nice, clean and comfortable. Very dog friendly! We have stayed several times and absolutely love it."

"Everything about this hotel was close to perfect. The Castle itself was outstanding. The photographs dont do it justice. We wish we had booked an extra night to enjoy it for long but we will be back. We used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both meals we still talk about. Staff all really helpful and friendly as well. We look forward to our next visit!!!"

"Room clean. Towels thick, white and fluffy. Staff really nice and food in the Kailyard restaurant was excellent. Only downside was there was a problem with the heating so we were cold for the first 24 hours, but small heaters everywhere and engineers dealt with it"

"Ample parking, warm welcome from reception. Clean and warm room. Breakfast was busy but plenty of food which was fresh and hot. Staff clearing dining room were excellent and clearing tables super quick. My only slight grumble was the mattress. My husband and I both felt like we were rolling into the middle all night. Apart from that, an excellent stay and a lovely hotel. "

"I stayed here so that I could attend the Highland games in Crieff and was only here just over 13 hours. Keep in mind that it's an old building with no a/c or lift and you'll be just fine! I took only the things I needed for the night in with me (leaving the rest in my car, where it felt very safe) and I slept with the window open and I was just fine (I'm very warm-blooded). The breakfast was great, but the icing on the cake is that the owner is a hoot! I really enjoyed chatting with her, even...

"Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area...
