If you’re considering whether to go or not, we would recommend you go. We loved our stay here because the food was so good and the staff were exceedingly kind and generous. The resort is absolutely stunning and we received a complimentary upgrade to our room which was amazing. In terms of negatives, I will say that the bugs on the resort can be a lot, but it really depends on the person (I only got one to two bug bites but my wife got more than 20). The bug spray did seem to work when we put it on, but we didn’t always have it on us. Additionally, we went in late August when the resort was probably only at about 30% capacity, which added to the calm and open feel of the resort, so take that into consideration for the review. We also took the helicopter tour to get to the resort rather than the car ride, which was definitely worth it (and the helicopter ride was way smoother than expected). There were lots of activities to take part in, which the front desk sets up for you no problem, so we felt very taken care of. The beach was great and the restaurants were delicious, but again I’ll add that the resort was mostly empty when we were there. The weather did forecast rain everyday, but that was because we got hit with a ~5 minute rain storm each morning then it passed. It only actually rained for one of the days we were there. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back!

The staff were always friendly and helpful. Location and area is very picturesque with possibility of wonderful excursions. Food at the restaurants was always fresh and good, but with every meal came a list of items that were not available. With the very low occupancy we were able to make reservations with the restaurants that were open that day. I can only imagine how hard it to get restaurant reservations when fully occupied. The property and rooms are starting to show their age. We had a dripping faucet and mentioned it to management on day 2 of our week stay and it never got repaired. We spoke with another couple who had their AC go out 3 times, and heard of others having to change rooms. We have been to several all-inclusive hotels, and I understand that there will be bugs in the Caribbean, but I have never been woken up in the middle of the night with a cockroach on my head. There are also a lot of cats roaming the property and begging for food in the restaurants, so when not recommended with sensitive pet allergies. This was advertised as an adults only resort, but this is definitely not the case. When we mentioned this to the concierge there are apparently a lot of exceptions. I should not have to read the small print for this, especially if this was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. Another main reason was the Hyatt name connected to this resort. This experience will make me rethink my perceived quality of this brand.

This was nearly perfect. I traveled around the world, and as a Cameroonian/American, the Caribbean feels like my second home; I love traveling. Saint Lucia captured my heart and attention, mainly because of the excellent staff—very professional, kind, and respectful. From activities, food, logistics, housekeeping, services, to transportation, everything was top-notch. Abdulla, the preferred manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us; he was very professional and made sure everything was going smoothly during our stay.
