With vaulted ceilings, custom arched windows, curated artwork, and a Thermador kitchen built for real cooking, this home feels more like a boutique mountain retreat than a standard cabin. It is warm, polished, peaceful, and intentionally designed for guests who want comfort without fuss.



Set in the Mt. Baker Rim community near Glacier, The Astor sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably with two private bedroom suites and a dedicated bunk lounge.



The covered hot tub is ready year round, whether you are coming home from the ski area, spending a rainy PNW evening in the trees, or settling into a summer night after hiking, river walks, and mountain views.



The Space



The main level is the heart of the home, with an open living room, dining area, and chef’s kitchen framed by soaring ceilings and forest views. The kitchen features Thermador appliances, quartz countertops, a large island, and everything you need for slow breakfasts, après ski dinners, and relaxed meals together.



The living room is cozy and elevated, with comfortable seating, designer furnishings, a fireplace, and easy access to the covered deck.



Outside, enjoy the private covered hot tub, BBQ grill, Adirondack seating, and outdoor dining space. In summer, the deck becomes an extension of the living room. In winter, the hot tub glows through the trees.

Cell service can be limited in the area, and the home does not have cable TV, but fast fiber optic WiFi is available for streaming, remote work, and staying connected.



We recommend stocking up on groceries in Bellingham before heading up the mountain. Glacier has a few local stops and restaurants, but options are limited, especially during quieter seasons.



In winter, 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended. Mountain weather can change quickly, so please come prepared for snow, rain, and changing road conditions.

The Astor is located in the Mount Baker Rim Community near Glacier, Washington, one of the most loved mountain neighborhoods along the Mt. Baker Highway. This peaceful, gated community is tucked into the forest near the Nooksack River, offering the quiet, private feel guests want in a mountain getaway while still being close to local restaurants, coffee, trails, and year-round outdoor adventure.



Guests love this area for its easy access to the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, scenic river walks, hiking trails, waterfalls, and the Mt. Baker Ski Area, which is approximately 25 to 30 minutes away depending on weather and road conditions.



After a day of skiing, hiking, biking, exploring Artist Point, or simply wandering through the forest, come home to The Astor for a private hot tub soak, a cozy dinner, and a quiet evening beneath the trees.

Connectivity: The Astor has fast fiber optic WiFi, currently around 306 Mbps, making it a great option for streaming, staying connected, or working remotely. Cell service can be limited in the Glacier area and there is no cable TV, so guests should plan to stream with their own subscriptions. As with any rural mountain community, occasional service interruptions can happen during storms or regional outages.
