1. Lady with blue hair has dread on her face and does not greet or thank guests. 2. She did not offer a receipt and did not request the door key back after I ask her if everything was finalized after checking out, to which I had to drive all the way back to Lafayette to give the door key back. Very unprofessional! 3. Most of the power outlets in my room were not working. 4. Channel selection and choices were subpar. 5. Water pressure in shower was excellent, microwave and fridge were clean, air conditioning was okay but smelled of old cigarettes smoke, had to spray it with Lysol to freshen the air. 6. Was charged a deposit on my first visit but was returned after checking out. Second visit I was not charged a deposit. 7. If you are locked out after 11pm and lose your key, there will be no one in the lobby to assist you. 8. I won’t be returning there and don’t recommend staying there. 5. This is one of the most unique and beautiful properties in Lafayette if not Louisiana. The landscaping, the historic architecture, and breakfasts all contributed to a truly amazing stay. I was lucky to stay in the Live Oak cabin with a swing on the porch. Sitting there early in the morning listening to birds or watching the rain from a passing storm was unparalleled. The proprietor Donell Totaro was lovely to talk to about the property and surrounding area. There is no place else to stay in Lafayette - this is where you should be.
