As you step in you feel relaxed, surrounded by serene nature. Stay connected with the convenience of high-speed WiFi, and take advantage of the in-unit washer and dryer to keep your travel wardrobe fresh. The fully stocked kitchenette, complete with a mini refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and more, allows you to whip up simple meals. Unwind in the comfortable bathroom, where you'll find plush towels, basic toiletries, and a hair dryer. Enjoy the added comforts of air conditioning, heating, and fresh linens. Both shared and private outdoor lounge areas are available to you. Secure parking is available, and you can immerse yourself in local nature and culture by exploring the selection of books and information provided. Jodi is an artist and you can visit her studio while you are here, located below the guest suite, for one of a kind hand crafted gifts or prearranged art experience. Daniel is a life coach offering sessions with your stay. Peaceful and Secluded

My wife and I were looking for a place to get away from the hustle. Orcas Island and particularly the Madrona Suite were just what we were looking for. The studio is spacious for two and very comfortable. The view out the large picture window is wonderful. There is wifi but no TV, which was fine with us. We brought a laptop and did stream a show or two with no issue. The hosts are very nice people. They provided us with information on the islands and left us to our own devices. If we hadn't been roaming around that much, I believe we could have spent more time conversing with them. If we didn't live 1600 miles away in Arizona, I could see coming back here for a long weekend a couple of times a year. It will definitely be in our plans should we manage another trip to Orcas in the future.

Hilltop bliss

Don’t hesitate to stay at this stunning hilltop retreat! Definitely one of deer harbor’s best spots to stay, the marina and coffee spot is right around the corner w also pizza and bbq on certain nights. The view from your bed will make you never want to leave, and the misty mystic mornings don’t hold back! Will return soon!!

Magical Orcas at Madrona Suite

“Idyllic” doesn’t begin to describe the experience. The Madrona Suite is a lovely studio apartment situated above the detached garage on this property. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, well-appointed and beautiful. The queen bed is magnificent and, to my surprise, so was the sleeper sofa. The property is stunning. A long, gravel driveway up a verdant, evergreen hill and through lush undergrowth leads to a clearing with the owners house, the apartment and a stunning, long-range, south-easterly view of Deer Harbor. If one were motivated by tranquility, a week or more could be entirely consumed by meditative walks or pensive moments in the garden and patios. Or, if more adventure is your cup of tea, numerous hikes are an easy drive away. I’ll be back, for sure.

Beautiful space

We were on orcas only for one night Mother’s Day weekend. The space was beautiful and comfortable and clean with great light. Jodi was a lovely host. We especially loved listening to the birds in the morning. The place is an 18 minute drive from town and is quite secluded. There is a lovely view. Anyone staying there should just keep in mind that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette. There is a small refrigerator and microwave and toaster oven and coffee maker, but no stove so you can warm food but you can’t cook. I would happily stay there again.

Stunningly gorgeous, serene, and inviting

Jodi and Daniel are amazing! and have created such a peaceful, serene, and welcoming home away from home. Everywhere you turn, there are little spaces, inside and outside, that are so inviting and cozy, and bring a sense of calm. You are surrounded by a gorgeous landscape, with sounds only of nature. I've stayed in lots of places, but none felt so much like "home". Can't recommend highly enough! And if you like dogs, you might get to play with Bodhi the cream golden doodle - he's awesome too!

Orcas Island Adventure

The Madrona Suite and our hosts, Jodi and Daniel were amazing. The property, it's location and amenities were top notch. The space had everything my friend and I needed for a girls weekend getaway and adventure. It's a very spacious studio area with everything you need to be comfortable-even a microwave, toaster oven and air fryer! Having a bed and a comfortable pullout couch made it super comfortable for the two of us. Jodi & Danial were incredibly gracious, responsive, offered great suggestions and advice regarding scheduling ferry reservations. They also shared great local information about events going on 'on-island' while we were there. They were kind enough to bring and share chairs to use at the summer concert series that was happening one evening, but we were unable to get back to the property to pick them up. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience this was and would definitely recommend this to others as well as stay there again.

Beauty and Comfort

My husband and I enjoyed our stay on Orcas in this little studio above a garage. It's comfortable and peaceful and surrounded by nothing much but nature with a great view. Jodi and Daniel were very welcoming. We will gladly return here for another escape from the city.
