Ultra clean, beautifully furnished, and well-appointed. We loved that it wasn't overly cluttered with decor. Our family was very comfortable. The host was very responsive to questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while in town visiting family for Christmas.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. The house is well-appointed overall, the property is very nice, and the lake is great.We rented Ryan's boat for 3 of the 5 days and had lots of water fun. The house is on a no wake, but fairly wide channel which is a real plus. We enjoyed games on the large yard and fires in the fire pit in the evenings. Most lake properties we've stayed at felt cramped, with neighbors too close for comfort--but this property is huge! Ryan was very prompt to respond to questions and needs.I highly recommend this property to families looking for a lake vacation. Just a couple of notes for the owner that might help make future renters more comfortable: the pull-out couch does not have a sleepable mattress.We needed to use it, so my son bought a mattress topper in town so he and his girlfriend could make it through the night. The kitchen has most things one would need, but we had to buy a cutting board and dish soap to get by. The shower door in the bathroom off the kitchen is broken--no one trusted it so everyone showered in the master bath. The transition from the kitchen to the family room is a trip hazard--we all left with stubbed toes. Finally, the grill was filthy. Grills get dirty, but it was kind of gross to open it to find greasy chicken skin covering the grates. We left the grill clean and the previous renters should have as well, but maybe just add this cleaning task to your post rental clean-up. We will be back!

Relaxing and quiet. No neighbors during the week. Puffy Lux mattress in master was very nice. The 2nd bedroom bed was too hard and no ceiling fan was a negative. Everything else was good. Pontoon boat rental is a must.

We enjoyed our stay. Kitchen had neceaties. Nice dining room table ,Extra towels in master room closet if needed ,master bed room was good size and second bed room .Both with own tvs in them. Kids bunk bed room small but kids enjoyed it.Nice that there's couch bed in sun room if needed. Nice deck to set out on. Nice neiborhood.Beautiful views and swans that came around few times in front of us.Ryan was very nice and got back fast when contacted. Thanks !

Lake time goodness

Ryan's attention to detail helped our family settle right into lake time: Adirondack chairs around the fire pit right next to the water, gassed-up pontoon at the dock perfect for cruising, sunning, and swimming, plus cute decor and comfortable furniture for when we finally came inside. Being able to bring our sweet old dog really made the trip special.

Cute lake house on beautiful lake. Master bedroom and bath were very nice. 2nd bedroom with queen was fine. Bunk bed "closet" was tiny. Great, fast communication. Easy check-in, check-out. Would stay again, great location.

Great cottage

We came down for family birthday party and stayed at this house/cottage. Ryan was very easy to work with. Easy in and out. Clean, quiet, good beds, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap provided as well as starter TP paper, Keurig coffee, and garbage bags. Would not hesitate to rent again! Rented the pontoon as well. Very nice and clean. Lake is easy to get around in.

Lake Life in Michigan

No-frills and no-issues created a relaxing time at the beach. Not much to do other than cruise the lake and relax. Just what the doctor ordered. Family had a great time and hope to make this an annual event. Plan on a 5 min drive into Decatur for staples (ie groceries, brewery, bug spray, etc) with most restaurants/sites 25 min+ drive. PS- rent the pontoon boat! Enjoyed by all.

2024 Michigan Memories Made

We enjoyed the homey, clean, quiet & comfortable home on the lake. The kids and dogs loved playing in the extra room off the kitchen. We took advantage of the pontoon boat which was a favorite daily activity except the last day due to rain. S’mores by the lake side fire pit were so toasty :)! More Michigan memories made!

Relaxing Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing trip to the Lake of the Woods. The lake was clear and the sunsets beautiful. They housing was very clean and the details in the ad were accurate. Watching the sunset from the back porch was a plus. Check in and check out was very easy and the host was accessible when needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay!

Just what we were looking for! We wanted a cozy, lakeside property in Decatur. This property was clean and conveniently located for exploring the area antique shops, wineries, breweries, and farmers markets. We loved the large kitchen table for eating and game nights. The house was clean and well stocked, with a relaxing deck and fire pit. We enjoyed watching the swans frolic in the lake, as well as the fishing of the boat dock. It was so nice having access to the paddle boat and kayaks. Overall, we loved our stay!

Nice and qozy home on the quiet lake

We like this place - very nice and clean home on the beautiful quiet lake. Home has enought space for all of our needs and direct access to the lake where you can use your boat or rent one. Good fishing and lot of other fun! Will go back next year!
