"Teniamos reserva en este hotel, pero finalmente nos pasaron al Elephant Eye que está enfrente. Acaba de inaugurar y nos dijeron q es de la misma cadena. Es superior: habs grandes, piscina y buen restaurante (cenamos buen pescado). Visitamos el River Front y nos llamó la atención la casa en árbol. Tiene muy buena pinta. Vistas a río y arboleda, pero muchos mosquitos (repelente a tope). Además organizan safaris a Yala en jeep propio de calidad a buen precio: $40/persona con entradas a Parque...

"We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. On leaving, they were able to arrange transport to our next hotel. The recently extended and beautifully decorated hotel is located in a quiet area...

They arranged our safari request to a not-frequently-visited area in Yala National Park and we were very pleased with that. "Awesome property and owner. The person was so nice. He saved the day and we slept through our alarm in the morning, and gently knocked on our door to make sure we were not missing out on the safari. He even gave us bus tips to get to Ella in the evening. And we had a lovely chat with him in the afternoon on his veranda while staying cool from the sun. He’s a great guy and very caring for his guests. Very highly recommend this place! "

"Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!"

"We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive.
