Welcome to your new favorite home-away-from-home here at The Hideout on Outlaw! This custom, luxury cabin is nestled in the pine trees of the highly popular Powder House Pass area. Enjoy being surrounded by nature. Let the breeze through the pines, help you relax, an occasional owl and coyotes at night remind you of the wild outside; see the jackrabbits frolic during the day, and enjoy a daily deer sighting! Breath the crisp, clean, pine air and unwind, refresh your soul at our Hideout!

Located in the center of the recreational corridor of the stunning Northern Black Hills, you'll have so many adventures right out your door. The Mickelson trail and ATV and snowmobile trails are within minutes from the cabin and easily accessible. Looking for some sightseeing? Spearfish Canyon with it's rim-rock canyon walls mountain streams and waterfalls, great rock climbing, hiking, and trout fishing are just a short 5-10 minutes away from the cabin. Deadwood is only 10 - 15 minutes away and there's taxi service to the cabin, Skiing at Terry Peak is within 10 minutes, and some of the main attractions of the Black Hills like Sylvan Lake, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway and more are all within an hour's drive. You can hike/bike/snowmobile or ride your ATV right out your door. Whether you're in the area to enjoy some rest and relaxation from the hustle and bustle, or an adventure filled getaway, The Hideout on Outlaw is sure to be the perfect destination for your vacation.

Coming back home to your very own custom oasis will surely make your vacation the best one yet. With 3720 sq. ft. of room to spread out, you and your guests will love all the space. There's 1000 sq. ft of outdoor living space, including a large covered deck and outdoor fireplace and sectional. There's also a dining table and chairs great for entertaining all your guests. The lower level walkout outdoor area is complete with a covered patio and 7 person salt water hot tub! Inside you'll find an inviting open living space perfect for entertaining your guests. There's Netflix and Hulu access along with Satellite TV to keep you connected. There's a gas fireplace in the living area and a solarium style dining area, as well as custom furniture throughout. Large sliding doors open the inside to the outdoor living area. making it a perfect indoor/outdoor living space for your whole group. Laundry detergent will be fragrance free, no dryer sheets used. Dryer balls, and detergent will be provided for guest use. There's also 2 pack and plays and a high chair at the cabin as well! Make your next vacation to the Black Hills a memorable one! Our family had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving getaway at the Hideout! The house was incredibly comfortable and had such a cozy, inviting atmosphere that we felt at home the moment we walked in. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, cook together, and enjoy the holiday, and every room was thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect—quiet and scenic, yet just a short drive to all the charm and history of Deadwood. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the holiday and would love to return!

Perfect Black Hills Getaway

We had a group of four families for our trip to Lead. The five kids loved the bunk room, game room, and spent hours in the garage playing ping pong. The adults thoroughly enjoyed the deck with fireplace every night, and having each couple get a king bed and en-suite was perfect for our group. We explored the area each day - especially loving the waterfalls in Spearfish Canyon - and came home each night to a well stocked kitchen. The home was clean. The amenities were great. I would highly recommend Hideout on Hideaway.

Great for large groups

This house is great for large groups because it has multiple places for people to gather. We really enjoyed the outdoor area by the fireplace. The home is located in a neighborhood but it is on the edge so no one is behind you so you feel like you are in a forest. Some of the downstairs towels were a little worn and rough but overall home is stocked well! Would definitely stay again.

Sister Stay

We enjoyed the beauty of the cabin itself.The design, layout, and detail adds to the stay. A stay with 6 adults, an infant, and three year old. Short drive to Terry peak, lead, and deadwood. Neighbors calm and quiet. Overall a good hideout with a hot tub to take it all in.

Such a gem!

We will return to this rental! Best location in that neighborhood and view! Best vrbo we have ever been in! I can't thank them enough for sharing this home with us! The home is rental perfect with 4 master auites and a kids room! Seriously want to get the home plans for this house and build it for ourselves! Best layout ever! Also fully stocked with full size hair dryers, pack and plays, baby gates, high chair and full size hair products in showers with lotions! Just bring your clothes! Oh and that hot tub! Love how its in the trees! Seen deer from tub!

Great house, great location

Our group came to side by side but the weather didn’t cooperate and it rained out whole stay. We still had a great time and the house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 5 teens.

Great stay

The property had just enough room for our group of 12 (4 adults and 8 kids). It was the perfect size and the game room was a great place for the kids. The property was close to Terry Peak and Deadwood. Everything was clean and in great condition. As some other reviews have said, the basement was cooler especially at night.

Very nice property!

We had a very nice time! Excellent proximity to Terry Peak. The property was very clean. It had everything we needed including complimentary shampoo/conditioner/lotion. Plenty of garbage bags, laundry detergent, towels, etc. The hot tub was also utilized and enjoyed. We didn’t use the Clubhouse but did stop and feel the temp of the outside pool - would have been great. The only concern we had was the downstairs was cooler than we would have liked. I contacted the property manager and was told to close the upper floor vents to force more heat downstairs- they were mostly closed and that didn’t help a lot. The kids still enjoyed the game room - they just put on more clothes. It probably didn’t help we were there during a cold snap of below 0 weather. We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom! Overall, we would certainly choose this property again if we were planning to ski again at Terry Peak.

Perfect cabin for a family get together

The cabin itself was perfect, with every room, having their own attached bathroom, it made it so easy to all have your own space and privacy, while also being able to enjoy each other’s company in the main rooms! The decor in this cabin is top notch. So aesthetically pleasing will definitely be back!

An Amazing Experience

We had such an amazing experience! The cabin is more than we anticipated - the pictures do not do it justice! We loved each having our own room, fireplace, and bathroom, and the hot tub was a big hit along with an extra living space downstairs.

Loved the property.

Had a great time exploring the hills with a great place to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. Plenty of room for everyone (5 couples) and a wonderful common area. We made use of the outdoor patio every night around the fireplace. We are already looking to rent the Hideout again next year.

Outlaw Cabin

This property was even more beautiful than the pictures. We enjoyed staying here very much. It was convenient to most things we wanted to do. One of our favorite rentals so far. My only suggestions are better trash pick-up and more toilet paper provided.

As good as it gets!

The property is as listed, and it's truly lovely. It's a beautiful setting, the rooms are large and beautifully decorated, there's lots of seating. If you have an infant, there is a highchair, two porta cribs, and a baby gate. We spent most of our down time on the porch though--the sectional couch and fireplace just draw you out there. The large table and chairs on the porch were also a great hang out space. Apparently they are putting in a larger swimming pool, but the current one is pretty small. Budi, the property manager, is very responsive. I can't think of anything that would disappoint you.

3 generation family getaway

Absolutely beautiful home. 5 bedrooms all with nice private bathrooms. Outdoor fireplace and hot tub were awesome we used them everyday! Year round heated pool at the community clubhouse. Loved our stay here!!
