Waterfront RV

  • Come enjoy a quiet stay in our 2017 Sunset Trail 250 RB RV parked along one of Florida’s coolest fresh water springs and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. We are located 25 miles west of Daytona Beach in north Central Florida. The RV is located within walking distance to DeLeon Springs State Park which is open 365 days per year. Once called Acuera or "Healing Waters" by the Mayaca Indians who once inhabited the area, DeLeon Springs State Park is a place to cool off in clear waters, roam trails through a lush subtropical forest, and immerse oneself in a rich history. Our 4+ acre property has plenty of waterfront available for canoeing, kayaking birdwatching and fishing. Our two canals, which enter either side of the property, are great for fishing and watching amazing sunsets. We have two bikes and one canoe (w/safety equip). There is a Fish camp/boat ramp located 200 yards from the property and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. There are airboat tours available by request / reservation.
    Make sure to enjoy a pancake brunch at the historical Sugar Mill restaurant located within the DeLeon Springs State Park, which is a short canoe ride or short walk from our property. The Deleon springs Park also offers a historical boat ride in a pontoon boat through the surrounding rivers, lakes, and streams The property is also within walking distance to Chuck Lennon Sports Park, which features soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts ,handball courts basketball courts, playgrounds, and is the trailhead for 13 miles of bike trails.
    Enjoy bird watching? Species such as Winter Wren, Golden-crowned Kinglet and dark-eyed Junco have been sighted annually in winter, along with Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Summer Tanagers and Acadian Flycatchers during the spring and summer.
    Our camper features one queen master bedroom with closing doors and closets, as well as a full/double pull out couch. The table area can also be converted into a bed for a small child if needed. Our RV is equipped with a full indoor kitchen and half outdoor kitchen. We have a full size gas outdoor BBQ grill and our outdoor covered gazebo. It’s a perfect place for who is open to tiny living, adventure and escape to nature.

When we arrived at 4 pm the place was not ready. We came back to find a very filthy camper. After wiping down the countertops the wipes were filthy. The microwave and refrigerator had crusty old food still in it. There was old opened food in the cabinets. There was a mount for a smoke detector but no smoke head. Both the outside and the inside were extremely run down. The host was extremely rude. We have stayed in campers before but this was totally unacceptable!!

This property is so close to many state parks and biking trails which made it perfect for us. The listing is accurate, no surprises. Enjoyed our stay.

Getaway near the park

This was a great place for that next level camping Just about everything you need was provided. I was able to take their canoe out on the lake and catch fish right away We would love to come back someday

Happiness in Paradise

We loved our stay. The RV we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped. The property was beautiful - fabulous live oak trees and butterflies flying everywhere. My favorite part was canoeing to de Leon Springs Park. It was peaceful and lovely and I'd like to go there again someday.

Total Relaxation

This place was fantastic. Tucked away and very low key surroundings. The master bed was so comfy and sheets were so soft we had the best sleep in awhile. The State Park is very close and is a must see! Enjoy.....we did!!!

Overall, the listing was okay. I had a hard time getting in touch with the host in order to get arrival instructions, but I was informed later it is because the host is sick. I sympathize with the host and I certainly hope he is feeling better, so my review may be just a fluke. I do believe the hosts are very kind and accommodating people and I likely was there at a difficult time in their life.Pros:1. Beautiful property2. Great location near De Leon Springs3. Has a lot of potentialCons:1. VRBO almost had to refund me as check in time had arrived and I still couldn't get a hold of the host to get arrival instructions. The phone number listed also would not take calls. The drive there was stressful as I didn't know if I would have a place to stay by the time I got there.2. The wi-fi was not working. The router in the camper said the bill had not been paid.3. It is listed as waterfront, but perhaps I had to go behind the host's house to access it? Regardless, that wasn't made clear, and I didn't feel comfortable walking the perimeter of their house to find out.4. The gazebo has a lot of damage and doesn't keep bugs out.5. The sheets were quite dirty upon my arrival.Overall, I would still recommend this camper, but I suggest you contact the host days in advance to be sure they have the place ready for you and supply you with arrival instructions.

Best Florida getaway ever 🤗

Stayed 4 nights in this nice RV and we loved every second. Jaw dropping garden with majestic old trees and spanish moss everywhere. Was on the lake in canoes and sailed around the lake seeing lots of alligators and wildlife. Used the canoes to sail to the springs twice and it was awesome. 5 Stars from Copenhagen, Denmark.
