Our stay at this property was very disappointing. The building felt more like a job site than a vacation rental, with construction and plumbing work happening on arrival. Inside, the unit was not clean — there was dirt buildup on the doorframes, gunk on the bathroom walls, and even a red splatter on one of the doors. The entire building smelled strongly of cigarettes and marijuana, which came into the unit through a half-inch gap in the entry door. The hallways also had joint butts and even dirty underwear left behind.Noise was a constant issue, as the walls were so thin that we could hear nearly everything from the neighboring unit. The balcony door was rusted and poorly sealed, and we only had hot water for the first night; after that, the water stayed room temperature for the rest of our stay.When we raised safety concerns about the doors, the host dismissed them and told us to trust him, saying he had rented multiple units there for years and that “nothing bad has happened.” This was not reassuring, given the condition of the property. We also reached out to VRBO support, but never received any meaningful follow-up to address our concerns.Overall, the property did not feel clean, comfortable, or safe, and we would not recommend it.
