Rustic 4-Bedroom Retreat – Walk to Mirror Lake

This rustic, multi-level home is centrally located in Canaan Valley, just a short walk to Mirror Lake and minutes from Davis and Thomas. With 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, the home offers the perfect escape for any season.

Relax in the living room with its large wood-burning fireplace and stone hearth, ideal for cozy conversations or reading. The fully equipped kitchen adjoins a spacious dining area, perfect for family meals.

Enjoy expansive Canaan Valley views from the deck, featuring a gas grill and an 8-person hot tub—perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing or hiking.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Not fancy but a great location between Davis and skiing with beautiful views. If you're looking for practical accommodations as a base for the recreational activities of the Canaan Valley this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed all the snow because it was the perfect place to be. The fireplace and hot tub were favorites for both of us. The driveway was even plowed for us and there was firewood for sale by a local child within walking distance.

The house was perfect! The beds were very comfortable. The heaters and fireplace worked wonderfully. The hot tub was so relaxing and the host very accommodating. We were able to check in an hour early. The house is located to so many trails and the town of davis had wonderful restaurants

Beautiful View

We stayed here in the middle of an unusual heat wave. The realtor was kind in giving us fans to help out. The place was clean but pesky gnats managed to make their way in every day. I was excited there was a garbage disposal. It was nice that since there was a heat wave there three of the bedrooms were downstairs and a full bath & excellent to have a toilet & sink in laundry room. The hot tub was amazing (although we didn’t need the heat). Beautiful deck & view for evening dining. Close to shopping & dining. Would stay again!

Family trip to Cannan

Kitchen not clean stove top greasy burner caught on fire from grease. Plates have metal trim not for microwave use. For the price it was disappointing.

Snow Heaven

Relaxing getaway!

We decided to get away for a few days for my birthday, and this was the perfect spot! The nearby hiking, views and places to eat were fantastic and just as easy to get to. Our 1 year old dog was absolutely exhausted by the time we left for home.

Fun family getaway

House was in a great location to all of the areas we wanted to see. My kids loved being able to walk across the road and fish in our down time. The hot tub was great after hiking and our family loved the picnic table on the porch for dinner. My only recommendations would be some fans (no a.c. and it was hot on our visit) and some chairs to enjoy the beautiful view.

Slope view

Would like to say view from cabin was breath taking. Cleanliness not so much could have used more cleaning. But that we overlooked. Pictures were a little off for the better. But everything was there to make it feel homie. Overall would stay there again.

Nice little rustic home

Great location, and views! Enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub a lot. The snow plow came up every day to the front door which helped as we got well over a foot of snow while there.

Winter break 2023

Looking for a winter getaway away with kids and grandkids and this property was ideal in size and location. A little odor issue upon arrival but diminished as sinks and toilets were used and traps were filled. Fireplace was nice but struggled to get a good “draw” working so abandoned the fires for the remainder of our stay. Hot tub was delightful.

Very musty

Everything was as listed except the very strong musty smell. We had to wash the bedding ourselves and it still had a musty smell!!! You charged me a lot for cleaning charges I hope you use it for that purpose

False advertising and no attempt to make right

False advertising and no one offered customer service. The house has great potential with some deep cleaning and updates. The hot tub, view, and location was great. It’s advertised that there is a fireplace but it is not functional. With the flue open, smoke does not go out of the house but does fill up the room. The entire wall is covered in black soot from previous people wanting to build a fire… it is very obvious that this is an ongoing problem that hasn’t been addressed. The fire place is the top 3 reasons I booked. To make matters worse, when I reported, no one offered anything to help the situation. I tried several times and management never got back with me to attempt to make it right. Very dissatisfied. I HIGHLY discourage you from using this rental company.

Excellent ski vacation

Valley View is perfect for a family ski vacation. Close to Timberline and Canaan Valley-less than ten mins! Two ski shops nearby if you need to rent skis; shop n save close by. The town of Davis is adorable with little restaurants and shops. Our family of two parents and four kids ages 8-17 fit great and the hot tub was a plus (also very clean!)

Property

The property was beautiful. The house has broken window cranks. The roof was leaking and had a wet spot on the floor in the living room and on the first floor. The bottom sliding glass door did not lock. The house smelled like mold and their were coach roaches. Cananna reality upgraded us to another property. It was not a good experience in this home. I could not sleep. The home needs to be fixed and updated.

Lovely area .. house needs some TLC

We have a lovely time and brought our dog. Some things I would’ve liked to have been updated .. the windows..not all or even most of them had screens and we were there in July so we needed the windows open and screens on the sliding glass doors in living room. Some of the windows were broken. And the blinds need attention.. some also broken ..would’ve loved some comfy chairs on the deck for morning coffee .. hot tub was perfect! Carpet needs replaced in living room; kitchen overall clean.
