Gulfside with a POOL (new for the 2023 rental season)- this beautiful custom two-story beach home features hardwood floors in living, dining and kitchen area, granite counter tops and stainless appliances in the custom kitchen with an under the counter ice maker. The open living area has lots of windows for a light and airy feel and is very nicely furnished throughout. The master bedroom and bath, and half bath/powder room are downstairs. The master bath has a garden tub (the jets are not operational) and separate shower. The three additional bedrooms are upstairs, and share two full baths. All bedrooms have flatscreen TV's. Charcoal grill. Newly Renovated for 2023 with ALL new furniture throughout! Stunning home, perfect place to make beach memories with your family!

Family vacation

Great house very clean. has everything for the kids and on the beach you would need. Very equipped with everything in the house. Cant say enough good things. Island has charm but not to busy which was perfect.

Great stay on Dauphin Island

Sun of a Beach is a great place! Room for everyone, comfortable and spacious. Small pool, great outdoor space. Room for all of us at the dining room table. Great kitchen, very well equipped. Had a great time with the family.

Son of a Beach

We had a wonderful time the week of 10/19/2024. The weather was perfect and house location was incredibly close to the beach. Water was a bit cool, but with temps in the low 80's, it was enjoyable. Very few people on the beach all week. Grand kids enjoyed the heated pool. House has plenty of room. We had a couple minors issues when we arrived, but the property manager (DIR) was quick to respond. Only major issue we had was with several major "rotted" spots on the back deck. We were told the deck is going to be replaced in the next 4 weeks. Great time and looking forward to returning to the Island sooner than later!!!!!

Great house, great location, and quiet!

Love the house! Everything was great except being blocked walking to the beach. The new house on the Gulf blocked the street walkway (his property). The path everyone was supposed to be taking has never been used. It's hard to walk in. Has a ton of sticky bushes that hurt if you step on them. We had to trespass in order to get to the beach, not get hurt or die of exhaustion. I research the walk before booking because a family member not being able to walk very well due to a stroke 4 years ago, limited movement on his left side and myself being overweight. No one was made aware of this including actual homeowners so I think this issue will be fixed once everyone gets involved and the pathway is worn down. Great house, great location, quiet and had a relaxing week away from work!

Fall Break

The home was perfect !!! We have been visiting dauphin island for years and stayed in several homes old and new . This was by far one of our favorites it was nicely updated and had anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. They had all the sand toys the kids could ask for . The pool is a nice touch and the pool chair’s were great . I couldn’t find anything wrong with this property except there is a house right in front and the ocean view is lacking but it’s a short walk and you have a perfect view . We would most definitely stay here again .

Beautiful House Awesome Pool

The house is big and beautiful. We loved the pool. The view is lacking as there’s a new house being built right in front of it. You have a view of the beach on one side of the house. It had everything you could possibly imagine in the way of kitchen utensils, pots, dishes etc. But it does need a bigger skillet and a k-cup coffee machine. Plush towels and bath mats. It has a gas grill. Even though it was a beautiful house I personally wouldn’t stay there again because the beds are like sleeping on the granite counter top. Expensive high end tempur pedic is my guess but hard as a rock. You can’t fully enjoy a vacation if you don’t sleep well. Mattress Toppers are needed!!! I would rate this house as a five star even with the obstructed view if the beds has toppers on them.

Great House!

We had a slight issue with a change in the beds available, but contacted Dauphin Island Real Estate(the property manager), and they provided a solution to the issue! We had a great week and really enjoyed the house and Dauphin Island! I hope to get back for another great week of relaxation!

Dauphin Island Gem

Me and my family stayed on the property in mid August this year. None of us had ever been to the gulf coast and we cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed the trip. The Dauphin Island Real Estate handled the check-in/out process. Everyone was very friendly. Once you book and your vacation nears you download their app so they can update you with reminders, maps, and restaurant and shopping recommendations and things to do. Check in/out was easy and the office is less than a mile from this house. The house itself was very clean and well stocked! We cooked all our meals during the stay and found there to be plenty of kitchen gadgets, pans, pots, and extras. All the cooking appliances worked great and there was a charcoal grill we used often also. We enjoyed the large table for family dinners. You will need to buy or pack in your own paper products, cleaning supplies for laundry and dishwasher, and trash bags once the ones in the house are used. There was an ice maker in the kitchen island that was not working and the one in the fridge was not working either. Within 24 hours the fridge unit was fixed, but can hardly keep up with use if you are filling a cooler for the beach or the deck. The real estate people knew about the broken ice maker in the kitchen island but did not fix or offer to fix while we were present. I recommend using the stand alone ice machine across from the Circle K/ship and shore store. Only $2.50 for 16 lbs. The family room was spacious and full of games, books, places to relax, reading material, and more. There was a TV in every room except the one in the master bedroom was not functional. There are many fans and the house was kept cool by 2 air conditioning units. All bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and had linens and towels. We had plenty of space for our family of 7 to spread out. 4 bathrooms were very nice also. I was pleasantly surprised that the house had a storage area with lots of beach items. We used the chairs, pop up umbrella tent, sand toys, and games. You will need to bring your own boogie boards but they had some flotation items. There were some things that needed repair, Several light bulbs in the house and outside had burnt out. The outdoor shower needed to be repaired as the hose was very old. The shower was functional. There was repair people and a survey crew there for hours a few days which was annoying. I wish the VRBO would have told us so we could leave or ask if it was ok.

Awesome Vaca

The house felt so much like home. The decor matched the beach setting without being too beachy. There was 8 of us and it was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. I noted a few things that needed attention but it didn't interfere with our positive attitude about the place. We actually felt a little sad to leave this am. We really loved the house and island.

A Wonderful, Picturesque time with my precious family!

The view from the front porch and Easy beach access is wonderful! Remember to have kids wear water socks as the white sand is Super hot until you’re in the water! The kitchen is a great size and table seating is great. I really like opening the main floor blinds everyday and seeing the ocean view as we made breakfast. The beach and surrounding houses were quiet and family friendly. Other places we have stayed, people had Loud Clubbing music blasting from their house or on the beach. None of that, very peaceful. I would really enjoy returning to Dauphin Island and this beautiful beach house! Thank you!

Nice home, but needs some maintenance done

The house was more spacious than the pictures looked which was nice. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. We were disappointed that the ice machine in the island was broken and the one in the fridge just couldn’t keep up. The distance to the beach was so nice but the path to get there had electrical cords and large pieces of concrete sticking out of the sand. We did have a problem with some unwanted insects but the rental company had an exterminator come right over and take care of them. Overall, it was a great week.

Disappointed to say the least

House had multiple active leaks in the roof. We had to place multiple buckets throughout the house whenever it rained. Several of the windows leaked when it rained also. The toilet paper holders were broken in most of the bathrooms. The GFR outlet in the kitchen was broken, which I’m sure is a fire hazard, and none of the outlets near it worked. Apparently there was a new roof put on recently and there were hundreds of metal roof screws and razors all in the sand around the house. As much as they charge per week, you’d think that someone could afford to do some repairs

Fantastic Beachfront House

We decided to take a quiet vacation on Dauphin Island for Memorial Day week. We wanted a place close to the beach and at least three bedrooms. This house exceeded our expectations. The expansive porch had an unrestricted view of the beach and had plenty of seating. This house is set back further than the adjacent properties, but seemed to be much newer and better maintained. We were particularly surprised at the high ceilings on the first floor and the very large master suite. There are two full baths upstairs. We were completely comfortable and felt totally 'at home' all week long. The appliances are up to date and the air conditioning kept us comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. We made all of our meals at home and cooking was never a problem. This house is ideal for a large family. It may be less than ideal for two families because the master suite is so nice, there may be a battle over who gets it! The only 'negative' I can think of is that there are no black out curtains in the master suite, so it gets bright soon after sunrise. But I'm not sure how much of a negative that is since you can get your coffee and sit on the porch to enjoy the morning. The leasing staff was ultra-efficient, possibly the best we've ever encountered. There was clear and consistent email and phone call communication prior to the trip and then courtesy emails at the end of the trip. I'd have no hesitation renting through them again.

Great Family Getaway

We loved Seas the Day! The management staff were amazing. We had one small issue with water leaking from the refrigerator and it was resolved in a few short hours. The house exceeded our expectations and the kids were entertained inside the house and outside as well. It was our first stay on the island. We highly recommend as a great place to vacation with your family!

Great house and location

We loved everything about this rental. It is right on the beach. The house is lovely with tons of room. The only negative comment is the House was not very clean. We came upon dirty dishes that were just put into the cabinet. Also kitchen floor was not clean. Swiped a spot with paper towel and came back black. Also during hard rain storms the water came in through the kitchen window frame, the recessed light fixture near back door and dripped from ceiling. Owner evidently is having issues with the roof contractor and the way it was constructed. This was a minor inconvenience for us as the rains passed through pretty quickly and we cleaned up the water. We would stay here again.
