Daufuskie Island Getaway, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Take a break from it ALL

Want to disconnect and get away from it all? Spend some time on the island that can only be reached by ferry or boat, and where Golf Carts are the preferred mode of transportation.
Our home is cozy and comfortable, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths with a kitchen and free Wi-Fi. Wake up to the sound of chickens then head to the beach a short 10 minute golf cart ride for a relaxing day. When booking, we recommend you check with the golf cart rental companies for availability first, as transportation is necessary for getting around the island.
Visiting Daufuskie requires some preplanning as the island is only accessible by ferry (no cars allowed) or personal boat. There is a small general store, but you will want to preplan and bring your food and beverages of choice. The house is stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and general cooking equipment.

FERRY SERVICES
Getting to Daufuskie is definitely part of the adventure.

There are other ferry options that leave Hilton head island as well as Savannah but this is what I recommend.

Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions. The area was peaceful and in a great location. The property had plenty of games and a nice fire pit area dor relaxing and just enjoying each other's company. It was perfect for the two of us, but would be a great spot for a family stay as well.

Comfortable

The communication with the owner was quick and effective. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and organized. The kitchen and living room are simple but comfortable. The property has no wi-fi and our mobile internet didn’t work inside the house, this was the only bad thing. Super worth the price.

Ultramarathon weekend

Great place!! It had everything we needed and more! Tons of room and comfort! Easy to get to (we didn’t see an address number but neighbors did so it was easy to figure out). Garrett was very accommodating and answered all questions promptly and even gave several recommendations that worked out really well …especially regarding golf cart rental (Paul was great!!!). Neighboring roosters were very noisy but we got used to them - I think I’ll take some sleep-time music or white noise next time to drowned them out. Heads up- Verizon cell service worked well but AT&T did not - which was typical for us in many sections of the island. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great stay!

Property has 2 bedrooms with 3 regular beds, a small sofa bed and a large couch. You will want a golf cart as it is located in land. There are roosters on a nearby property so if you want to sleep in I recommend ear plugs. Bed was comfortable and plenty of room in the house for several people. We appreciated the washer and dryer. There is no wifi and my cell service did not work at the house but no one else had that issue and I was able to use my friend’s hot spot. I would stay here again. If you visit Daufuskie in the off season beware that not as many businesses are open and they close earlier. The general store was running low on many items due to supply issues. We saw lots of birds, an armadillo, alligator and a squirrel with a face like a raccoon while on the island.

Garrett’s Getaway

Great place to Relax and unwind. The Newly Covered porch is a great addition, come back from an afternoon at The Beach and sit out and Enjoy the evening. This place has all that we need to have a fantastic time whenever we come to the island. Garrett and Elizabeth are easy to deal with and get rite back to you when contacted about any issues or Needs. Love this place, it’s definitely Our Spot of Choice to stay. We have stayed Elsewhere before on The Island… this is the place for Us.
