Fab location, incredible staff, great experience

This was a short business trip and the hotel was perfectly located for most of the offices I needed to visit. The staff were so helpful and thoughtful (they genuinely remembered my name and preferences!) - the hotel has a wonderful atmosphere. It was a very pleasant experience.

Not Worth it

The checkin was fine. I was given the Key to room 311. Went up and the Key did not work. Luckely a cleaning lady was there and let me in. Got a New Key from reception later that worked. Was by the pool and its really nice but smelt like seward. The pir was closed due to renovation. The room was big but moist. I did not understand why Even the pillows and sheets were damp. Honestly not Worth the money they are charging. But the location is great

We booked a room for our valentine gateway but the place ruined it for us. The AC was switched on full time as we received the room and it was waaaaay too cold. We tried opening up the windows and switching off the AC and ended up with condensing humidity all over the room. It was literally raining inside the room, every corner of the room was dripping if not wet.The sheets were wet and some of our staffs got wet. 😡

Rooms are good...but got two single beds instead of a double and an extra bed for our son so that was disappointing...the elevators are very old thy dont complete the beauty of the hotel . ..found only one pair of slippers and bathrobe n the room and the night shift was not able to get another pair of slippers...the bar had no drinks in the refrigerator....otherwise the hotel facility is very good and comfortable

Nice stay in great location

High class hotel in a good area. All the services really close in Slipway. Very clean and comfortable stay. Staff really friendly and helpfull. Pool area is really nice.

This DoubleTree property is pretty expensive for what you get. Although the rooms are large, they are in need of some updating - generally, the property felt quite outdated. Breakfast/food was expensive and not nice; the hotel suffered from humidity (to be expected in Dar, but maybe not to this extent?). Housecleaning staff were friendly but results were somewhat inconsistent. If you have a room above the 2nd or 3rd floor on the ocean side, the view is great during high tide - unfortunately, the other side faces a busy-ish street and can be quite noisy, especially as the poas/electric rickshaws park directly outside of the parking lot to the DoubleTree - this also makes walking down to Slipway not the most delightful of experiences. All in all, an okay place to stay, but wouldn't rave about it.

Wonderful sunset views!

Double Tree Hilton is a well run and peaceful place to stay with lovely views over Oyster Bay at sunset. We found the staff extremely friendly and supportive of our stay and requests for arranging drivers etc. There were a few minor lapses with plumbing, a worn bedhead and a dirty aircon switch in the dining room, but otherwise the facilities were of a high standard.

The double tree

Stayed here for three nights and security is great and the outside is beautiful. Amazing sunrise and sunsets. Internet was super important and was actually really fast and worked outside and inside the hotel for work.

Lovely comfortable hotel

Good location, very comfortable hotel, lovely pool area and outside bar and reasonable breakfasts. Staff are friendly and very helpful. I always choose to stay here when in Dar Es Salaam.

Great hotel in Dare Es Salaam

Great hotel. Staff was very helpful and attentive without imposing. We used the hotel drivers and they went beyond to make sure we were helped on our local destinations.

Inte vad man förväntar sig av Hilton.

Hotellet behöver en renovering. Rummen har fått nya badrum från Kina, men inte med den finess man hade förväntat sig från Hilton. Stranden och bryggan skulle kunna vara så mycket trevligare. Avsaknaden av strand är patetisk. Rummen ska ha havsutsikt, men så är inte fallet eftersom träden inte har klippts ned.

Great place, try it!!!

These guys are so great! Flight got in very early and they checked me into a temporary room until normal 11am check in time. Food was good, service fantastic and also allowed me late check out. Loved staying here and would definitely go back! Also, the view was to die for!!!
