I want every guest to feel at home, enjoy the property, and most importantly be safe throughout the entirety of the stay. I will do my best to answer FAQs, and accommodate any special requests. DeSoto is one of the oldest settlements in North Texas. It was in 1847, just eleven years after Texas won its independence from Mexico, that families first settled in the area that is now DeSoto. For more than five decades, the All-America City (AAC) Award has recognized exemplary grassroots community problem solving and is awarded to communities that identify their challenges and collaboratively work together to achieve results. The City of DeSoto was honored to be named an All-America City by the National Civic League at the finals for the prestigious award in Anaheim, California on Sunday, June 11th. Each year, cities across the country apply for this prestigious award but only ten cities receive it.

If you need covered parking the car garage is available upon request for an additional fee. A refundable cash 200.00 deposit is required in order to have access. The property offers free uncovered parking in the back (up to 3 cars). Additional parking is available in the driveway or front street.

A Smart Home ready to assist. Upon your arrival I will share a few tips and tricks on how to take advantage of the smart technology throughout the house. Voice control will allow you to customize the lighting, temperature, sound, and more.
Important Notice
EVENTS & GATHERINGS

As part of the booking terms and house policies, a $450 refundable security and cleaning deposit is required 24 hours before check-in for any reservation where additional guests, gatherings, or extended activity may take place at the property.

This deposit serves as a safeguard to ensure that the property is left in proper condition, in accordance with Airbnb’s policies and my own hosting standards. The deposit is fully refundable within 72 hours after checkout as long as the property is returned in the same clean and orderly condition in which it was received and there are no incidents or damages.

Below are the primary reasons why a deposit may not be refunded in full or in part:
1. Excessive Cleaning or Disorder:
The home must be left generally tidy. If the cleaning crew determines that the home requires more than standard turnover cleaning due to excessive mess, dirt, or clutter, a portion—or all—of the deposit may be withheld.
2. Dirty Kitchen or Food Left Behind:
Please make sure all dishes are washed, food is removed from the refrigerator, and countertops, sinks, and appliances are wiped clean. Any excessive grease, residue, or leftover food that attracts pests will result in deductions.
3. Bathrooms and Bedrooms Condition:
All bathrooms and bedrooms should be left clean and free of heavy dirt, trash, or stains. Linens, towels, and bedding should not be excessively soiled or damaged.
4. Trash and Waste:
All trash should be bagged and placed in the designated outdoor bins. Loose trash, leftover bags, or food waste left inside the house are common reasons deposits are withheld.
5. Smoking, Odors, or Stains:
The property is strictly non-smoking. Any evidence of smoking, lingering odors, or stains on walls, furniture, or fabrics will automatically void the deposit and may lead to additional charges for deodorizing and restoration.

Please note that unauthorized events or gatherings are strictly prohibited. If there is any indication of a party, event, or large group activity taking place without prior approval, and the required $450 deposit has not been processed, this will result in:
• Immediate contact with Airbnb Support,
• Cancellation of the booking, and
• Possible removal from the property.

This policy is in place to protect the property, ensure safety, and maintain a respectful environment for all guests and neighbors.

Please confirm that you understand and agree to these terms and make sure the $450 refundable deposit is processed no later than 24 hours before your check-in time.
