Welcome to the Rustic Retreat! Famous GC in the DFW area fully renovated this home in 2023. Fully new kitchen, luxury style showers and bathrooms and a beautiful open floor plan. As you enter the home you will see a relaxation room that has a few board games for the family to relax and get away from the rest of the crowd.

As you make your way into the first entry on your left you have a GIANT pool table to enjoy a nice game of pool with family and friends.

Our Kitchen is fully stocked with basic culinary necessities. If you have specific preferences for cooking, please bring your own cutlery and kitchenware. Living room staged with a sofa/love seat and a large TV

All bedrooms with Brand news beds, closets and Smart TV.

Unkept Home

We arrived 10 minutes before check in. I asked if we could enter early and they said yes. We walked in to find food on the stove, dirty floors pulled bedding and used towels on the floor. There was trash in the front yard and both the front and back yard looked like it hadn’t been mowed in weeks (which was a problem because I specifically picked this house for the fenced in yard for my dog). I immediately contacted the Host. He apologized and called to explain that the previous guest had extended and it tripped up the cleaning scheduling automation. Not ideal, but I totally understand. They said the cleaning crew could be there in a few hours and should be done by 9:30-ish. He offered to send us 100 to get out of the house and go to dinner. We went out to Dallas and came back around thirty minutes past midnight and the cleaners were still there. They were hustling and did a great job, but again, not ideal. The Host never sent money for dinner/inconvenience. I asked about it after our stay was over and they said they could send it on Tuesday, but that was 4 days ago. Still nothing. I don’t really care about the money, but if you set an expectation I expect you to fulfill that expectation. So far, no dice. The house itself was really nice, but I was very annoyed by this whole experience.

Visiting Texas

My family and I came into town Wednesday-Saturday to visit some relatives who live in the Heath area. The check-in process was very smooth (automated) and the interior of the home was clean and comfortable.However, when we arrived we found the smoke detector unhooked in the kids bedroom with the 9v battery taken out and left on the shelf. It was late in the evening so we decided to stay the night. In the morning, we decided to check the windows as there was a lot of noise throughout the night from the roadways and wind. We were shocked to find out that the first 2 bedrooms we tested had windows which did not lock and had a 1/2" gap in them which explains why there was so much exterior noise. This inspection also revealed plasticware and misc. trash in both sides of the yard and the neighbor's window screens were ripped out. Our relatives advised there has been an uptick in the area of property crimes and petit theft. We made the decision to leave the property after the 1st night of our stay due to safety concerns and did not even ask for a refund. We messaged the property owner Thursday AM and never received a response until their automated system asked us to extend our stay and I sent a not-so-friendly message. The property manager then replied saying they have 527 homes and must use automation. I never heard back on any of the issues we brought to their attention. I believe the property manager was extremely unprofessional.

Week in Texas

Very quiet neighborhood and the inside of the property was very clean. Outside yard had not been mowed in weeks but we stayed inside so it was fine. Everything worked as listed and we would stay here again .
