Quiet high-end cottage surrounded by mature trees and picturesque pastures on a completely private farm. Yet, you are minutes from grocery stores and shopping and walking distance to a Tex-Mex restaurant.
Beautifully furnished private stone home with a large cook’s kitchen, laundry room, comfortable living room with two couches, dining space, dedicated work space, separate well-appointed bedroom with gorgeous outside views from your bed, full bath with brand-new fixtures including a large walk-in shower. The cottage has loads of natural light from the many large wood windows where bobcat, coyote, bunnies, peacocks, and farm animals often wander by.
You have access to an acre of outdoor dining and relaxing areas.
Included with you stay are complementary fresh eggs and honey both produced on the farm.

The Bobwhite Cottage is a jewel nestled in the city, a true cozy, peaceful, home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage which had all amenities including fresh eggs and honey from the farm and warm welcome from the farm animals each day. The cottage is decorated so nicely and had everything we needed. Just relaxing on the back porch enjoying the 60 degree temps enjoying coffee and doing my Bible study was amazing. The travel into the city for my training was not bad at all and my husband and I enjoyed fishing nearby. All you need is right down the street. John and his wife are the most amazing hosts and this has been our best Vrbo stay yet. We felt welcomed, safe, and at home. Thank you for an amazing stay, your quick and friendly responses, and treating us like family. We hope to visit soon! This is a rare find and a must for anyone's stay in and around Dallas!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! This was a surprise trip for my boyfriend and I's 4 year anniversary. I asked for a special request (making the home look romantic) the owners of this amazing property went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US!! (I will post pictures below) It was perfect for a weekend getaway not far from home, but still completely secluded from the city. While also being walking distance from a Mexican restaurant. One of my favorite moments here was when their sweet farm puppy paid me a visit! He was so precious and energetic. All of the farm animals made this trip one I won't forget. They also have all the supplies for making s'mores by their fire pit. It recently rained when we stayed here, so all the wood was wet. The owner of this property stopped by to give us dry pieces to start the fire. Not only did he and his wife go above and beyond decorating the home, he walked over and gave us dry wood for our fire We had amazing communication with the owners, the kitchen has all the tools you need to eat in, the tv has numerous streaming platforms (already logged in), and the bathroom was so luxurious!! 1000/10 stars from my boyfriend and I. Ooo I can't forget the farm fresh eggs and fresh honey from their bees! The eggs were delicious:)

Absolutely beautiful location and The cottage was totally updated inside and super clean. Located on a farm and the back porch oversees a picturesque field with horses and sheep. There are some very friendly pups that visit and a peacock. Our stay was perfect and very relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful with a farm-feel experience inside the city limits! Comfort and peace! John is an incredible host and his relationship skills & knowledge added to a memorable weekend. He takes the time for the added touches and talking with my grandkids about the farm life. The cottage is so quaint and we had everything we needed! Thank you!!

A true gem of a stay. A cute, quiet farm cottage down a gravel road, set on acreage, yet surrounded by development of the town. Think Central Park surrounded by the city; a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle, but close to shopping, restaurants, and activities if you want to have all that. Yet situated on acreage with horses, bee hives, goats, peacocks, dogs, chickens, and cows. A paradise of peace, calm, and relaxation. Where else can you sit on the back porch and watch the cow chase the goats, and have the peacocks strut by. I mean who wouldn’t love that? Not to mention, the interior of the cottage is bright, cheerful, and the hosts have thought of everything. To top it off, the host respected my privacy, yet kept in contact via message/texts to check that everything was satisfactory. And it absolutely was. What a great stay.
These will be your back porch neighbors if you stay here.

We had an amazing stay at Bobtail cottage.The cottage is amazing, very clean and has many little extras. The free eggs were beautiful, fresh and tasty and there were plenty of them.My favourite was sitting out on the porch in the peace and quiet watching the animals go by and a morning greeting from Lexi.John and Janvier were lovely , showing us the animals but also left us in private.We would have loved to have stayed longer. This was a wonderful cottage. The cottage was extremely clean and welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing outside on the back porch watching all the fun and playful animals. It was centrally located to all our activities. We went to a Rangers game and it was easy to navigate from the cottage. I would highly recommend!

Spectacular Gem

Cozy Cottage

Lovely cottage, extremely clean, decor is somewhat rustic (like Ralph Lauren). I highly recommend. Back patio was perfect for coffee in the morning and to view the farm animals. Owner was available for any questions.

Memorial Day Ceremonies

We chose this unique place while in town for Memorial Day ceremonies at DFW Military cemetery. Came across it due to its’ different surroundings and the animals especially having a 9 year old with us. It was very relaxing and very enjoyable to interact with the animals. John was a great host and glad we were able to meet him and learn more about the property.Everything was not too far away about 30 minutes or so. Well worth not booking a hotel room.

Beautiful cottage on the farm

It was a fabulous stay! The cottage was gorgeous and had everything we needed. So close to town for all your needs, but felt in the country. The outdoor area was just perfect for the kids! We cooked on the grill, made a fire, visited the farm animals, and had a blast witha blast with their dog Skip! Would recommend and stay again!

A taste of country beauty & serenity within the DFW Metroplex

Beautiful setting and very relaxing with easy access to main highways and airport. House was well maintained and supplied with pictures on the listing being up to date. Loved setting on the back porch with my coffee in the mornings. Very peaceful! Check in was a breeze.

Wonderful

Everything was wonderful thank you!Will recommend to family&friends.It was so fun waking up to the peakcocks on the front porch! Cons:Drive way was a little hard to find when we arrived late at night. And im not sure if it was mentioned in your listing but the house is not handicap accessable, my grandmothers walker could not fit in the small doorway of the bathroom. And we couldnt find a cutting board!
