The Crestone Casitas are beautifully decorated private luxury suites situated around a beautiful garden area; this spacious suite features two king bedrooms with private half bathrooms, a shower room with soaking tub, full kitchen with dining area and well-lit living area with comfortable sitting areas and workspace. Enter through a spacious screened porch area with rocking chairs and sunroom with dining/sitting area for enjoying our dark skies.
Get comfortable and spend time in the living area with extras like a piano, TV and game console with wireless game sticks. Enjoy privacy in the master bedroom suites each with private outdoor areas, a small couch and half bathroom. Wireless internet, coffee and tea are complimentary for our guests.

About the Twin Bedroom Cabin: This tiny cabin is designed as an add on to your unit. The cabin is located outside the garden area a minutes' walk past the chickens and geese from the Casitas. There is no bathroom just a twin bedroom, you must use the bathroom in the main Casitas you have rented. This space is designed for young adults minimum age suggestion is 14 years or older. Please Make Note in your reservation for us to contact you regarding availability for the cabin.

Access to the central gardens and outdoor kitchen grilling area is just out the screen porch, enjoy birds and butterflies in the summer months and beautiful dark skies year-round! Cozy up by the fireside during winter and enjoy the peace and silence. The property is secluded and quiet for guests located on 40 acres of beautiful, wooded forest at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The shared outdoor kitchen features a porch with bar and dining table; a great area for groups to enjoy the peaceful outdoor retreat.
The Two Bedroom Suite is Slightly Above the Garden Area which can be seen from other outdoor Deck Area. Inside the Garden Area: All three garden suites are completely private, and each guest has a small patio area outside in the garden. In this space you will find a beautiful, shared cabana area for lounging and dinners, as well as an additional swinging bench for all guests to enjoy.
The property is home to many animals; we have sweet one dog Molly; she is not allowed inside the Suites. We also have several geese and chickens that roam the back lot. The geese and chickens, as well as the dogs, are not allowed inside the garden area.

The Crestone Casitas are conveniently located several minutes' drive, or a short walk, to downtown Crestone, Colorado. The Suites are situated on a privately gated and fenced property with over forty acres of scenic mountain terrain. The air is fresh and the mountain well water is clean!
Crestone is home to over 28 spiritual centers, offering in sight and teachings to many different world religions. Creekside nature trails, starry nights at Sand Dunes National Park, and nature photography out the back door makes this an excellent place to expand our connect to nature and explore spirituality.
Enjoy great tasting mountain water and explore the beautiful San Luis Valley expansive mountain views, Sand Dunes National Park, elegant Sand Hill Cranes, dark night skies for star gazing and be on the look for UFOS, many stories of sightings have been heard around Crestone! There are many local hiking trails nearby the house, some folks suggest the North Crestone Trailhead, Willow Lake is a great day hike, and the Creekside trails along the greenbelts in the Baca Grande Subdivision are spectacular and lush. The Challenger Views on Ridgecrest is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.
Crestone, Colorado is in the middle of the San Luis Valley. There is very limited public transportation in the area. We recommend Four Wheel Drive, or at least- All Wheel Drive if you are looking to come and stay during the Winter Season.

Crestone is a beautiful small town with some really unique and amazing locally owned stores and businesses. Local people feel grateful to have so many great places to shop and dine right in our small town. There are two small locally owned grocers, where you can find top of the line health food, vitamins and organic whole food. Enjoy dining in one of the locally owned cafes or restaurants and support the local artisans at one of the galleries or gift shops. We love our local thrift stores, so many hidden treasures can be found!

Crestone is situated at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, boasting several fourteen-thousand-foot peaks and pristine alpine lakes for outdoor hiking, camping and fishing. The wildlife refuges and protected forests create incredible opportunities to come close to nature and truly experience the wildlife. Great for bird watching, photography, art, hiking, biking and camping. There are so many ways to appreciate and explore nature around Crestone.

From October 15th through April 15th, Crestone Casitas management will provide each casita with a bundle of complimentary firewood so you can enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace.
For Your Information: The Casita Suites are heated with electric baseboard heat. The heaters are all new and work very well. The Casitas are kept at a comfortable temperature without needing a fire. You can easily adjust the heater up or down by turning the dial and the new temperature is achieved within 20-30 minutes.
