The Gateway Condominium location cannot be beaten for Crested Butte resort access. Most places require additional flights of stairs or schlepping your gear "within walking distance," not here. You are steps away from skiing right outside your door!
Gateway Condominiums offers many great amenities not common in Crested Butte. It has secure, heated underground parking for 1 permitted vehicle, an outdoor communal hot tub, a sauna, a grilling area for entertaining, an outdoor washing station for your summer recreations, and convenient lockers for storing all of your important gear any time of the year.
This popular 3-bedroom, 3 full baths in Mount Crested Butte was recently renovated into a modern ski chalet with thoughtful local touches. Enjoy cooled bedrooms with AIR-CONDITIONED units for added comfort during your stay.
The condo entrance is located on the second floor, has elevator access, and is a two-level condo. Vaulted ceilings create luxurious comfort in the living room complimented by the gas fireplace for warming after a full day's activities. Comfortable seating in the living room, which can be overlooked by the kitchen and dining room. Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and lots of granite tile counter space to prep your meals. Seating is available for 6 available at the dining room table with additional room at the kitchen breakfast bar for 4. A lush king bedroom is located off of the living room with its’ own balcony access for southwestern views of our many mountain ranges. The other two sleeping quarters are on the second floor, one with a king bed and the other with a twin + twin bunk, each with its own flat-screen TV. There is 1 parking permit for the condo. Parking is available in the underground heated garage or in the limited outdoor spaces, but again, it is limited to one vehicle for the property.
The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Gateway Condominiums is located on the summer town route schedule which is every 20 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes. In the winter, Gateway Condominiums is on a special condo loop shuttle that picks up every 30 minutes and brings you to the base area. Although this transportation is not needed for ski access.
Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management offers additional services for our guests that others may not. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. We also provide towel and trash services for our paying guests every other day. For additional service requests, please contact our office.

Fantastic Spring Break
Amazing stay!! Was perfect ski in/ski out for the new skiers in our group. Kitchen was perfect to cook dinners for 6 of us! Super close to hot tub and sauna.

Great place smaller than the pictures make it seem
We loved our stay at this property and would definitely come back. It’s nicely updated but definitely an older building. It’s location on the mountain is perfect and it was very easy to access the bus. My only small complaint is that it was smaller than expected. We would stay here again though.

The condo is well-designed, appropriately furnished and very clean. We stayed during the ski off-season and found the location to be perfect for access to the town of Crested Butte and near-by hiking/biking trails. We experienced a small snafu with parking permits, which management addressed in a fairly timely manner. A more detailed guest guide to explain how the heating/AC and fireplace work would be helpful. The existing guide is good, as far as it goes--it just needs a few additional details. We would stay here again.

Great location and comfy condo
The gateway condo is located conveniently on the mountain and has underground parking which is ideal for the snowy environment. The condo is comfortable and well equipped. The property management company responded quickly to our requests for extra blankets and sheets for the sofa bed. We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed the Fourth of July in Crested Butte and the stay at your property was comfortable. Great location...especially for fireworks-practically in the backyard! :-) We had two cars and only one car pass...a little nerve wracking to find a spot for second car due to all the limitations/signs posted. Thankfully for us it must be geared more for winter visits. Thank you for providing us with a great home base.

This is a true ski in/out condo in front of the Peachtree lift. You can take Peachtree or West Wall lifts to ski over to Red Lady or Silver Queen lifts. Ski school is a fairly short walk uphill. A queen w/bath and a bedroom with 3 single beds and a separate bath on the second floor. 1st floor has a bedroom and separate bath, living/dining and kitchen.
We had a party of 4 adults and 3 children so it was perfect for the sleeping arrangements. Would suggest that you drive if you want to go to town if you have the ability. Walking uphill by road and sidewalk or taking the inside route in snow with kids to take a bus was not a positive experience. The units ski locker was a plus. The units kitchen was supplied with everything that you need to cook. A very well accommodating condo. Only 1 car per unit is allowed in the underground parking garage. There are 5 outdoor parking spaces that are sometimes available for additional parking. Overall a fantastic stay.

We recently had 7 adults in this unit for 8 days. Everything was great! Clean, w/ample paper products for the whole stay. (bring your own laundry detergent though) Ski in/out aspect was fantastic. The outside ski locker next to the unit's door was plenty big enough for all our equipment. Property management staff were helpful and very pleasant. We did grocery shopping in Gunnison (on the way in from Denver) and again in Crested Butte. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. No recycling, so all trash goes out together. We drove a large SUV w/a car top carrier. Unfortunately we didn't have enough clearance to put our vehicle in the garage. Luckily we were able to park in one of about 4 outside parking spots assigned to Gateway. Whew! All in all, great family vacation!

The BBQ worked great, the indoor dining area has a beautiful table and very convenient/comfortable. The hot tub was a major disappointment (no jets, needed repair, then water temp took time to recover after some repair but jets are not adequate still). The master bed mattress should be replaced due to loss of support on one side. Hot water worked well in all bathrooms and bathrooms were nice. Staff was very responsive to needs. Thermostats were a little wacky but just need education on them, nice fireplace. Perfect location for ski in/ski out.
