Beautiful setting in the Redwoods! 10 miles to Crescent City and the beach. Walking distance to the crystal clear Smith River, 1 mile from Jedediah State Park. Beach, river, kayaking, hiking all combined in one great location! Boogie boards available, sand toys, beach chairs, ping pong table, fire pit, grill.

This house was very cute and clean. It was cozy each evening to come home and relax after adventuring. The garden in the back was very pretty and fun to watch birds while drinking my coffee. This home was in a great location to hike the groves and the host had a list of suggestions that we happily followed. We were very happy here!

This home was beautiful and in a great location. It did seem like their housekeeping misses some things, though (cobwebs mostly). We were mostly disappointed that we couldn't use the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, which was once of the reasons I chose this place. We tried multiple times and we ran out of water when the tub was about 1/3 full. I reached out to the owner and she said the hot water tank is only 40 gallons. That's not enough hot water for that tub.

Ideal proximity to Jedediah Smith Redwoods. Note that house faces on highway 199. Nice locked carport. Great kitchen and overall comfortable house with fireplace and near great cafe.

Kathy is a wonderful host. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. The flowers around the house are beautiful. The best part is the location which is about 3/4 mile from the entrance to Jedidiah Smith Park. The trees there are amazing! Oh, and there is a terrific restaurant within walking distance and a gas station/market across from that. PERFECT place to stay to enjoy ALL of the Redwood forests.

Dead gorgeous scenery surrounds this place! There is a beautiful garden in the back with flowers that are breathtaking, the home is beautiful and a perfect place to stay when traveling through Northern California. Crescent city was a scenic 15 minute drive to delicious restaurants as well.

Beautiful house and garden. We had our 5 and 6 year old run laps to burn off extra energy. As a family of 5, inside was to small for my bunch, would be perfect for less amount of people.The boys enjoyed the variety of games and maze around property, and felt safe with locked gate.Please note, it is off a busy road and we were able to hear cars during our 2 nights there. This did not keep us up all hours...All in all, beautiful property and enjoyed the location.

Great place!

This rental was one of the most well appointed I’ve ever been to. The location was easy to find and private. The road noise is not noticeable in the house as it is close to the highway. I would highly recommend and hope to stay again!

Wonderful and clean

Stayed for a long weekend. The home is directly off the highway and you can hear traffic from the kitchen and living room but the bedrooms are at the back of the house and we couldn’t hear the road at all while sleeping. This place is one of the cleanest VRBOs I have been to and really appreciated the quality of care. The grounds/landscaping was absolutely gorgeous and they take a lot of pride in keeping it well landscaped. There are neighbors but felt very private with all the landscaping. Fully stocked with extras even we didn’t expect. Ping pong table kept my family extra entertained. Would highly recommend this home.

Great location for Northern redwoods

The kitchen, living area and bathroom were beautifully remodeled. The bedrooms were a little small and dated but comfortable. Lots of windows! Very well stocked with everything you could need and more! Just be aware if you are an older guest that the oversized tub is very difficult to step in and out of and there isn’t a grab bar. We loved walking to the.hiouchi Café for a delicious breakfast and stopping at the quirky little wood carving shop on the way home. The visitor center is just a mile down the road.
