    Perched on a scenic hillside overlooking Creede, our recently remodeled home offers breathtaking views of the iconic Creede Cliffs and Mammoth Mountain. Enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening on the upgraded decks while taking in the stunning mountain scenery.

    Inside, rustic charm meets modern comfort with a thoughtfully renovated interior, an upgraded kitchen, and inviting living spaces. The home comfortably accommodates families and small groups with a main-floor queen bedroom and an open loft featuring one double bed and two twin beds.

    Just a short walk from historic Main Street, you'll be close to Creede's unique shops, local restaurants, art galleries, and the renowned Creede Repertory Theatre. Whether you're exploring town or relaxing in the fresh mountain air, this inviting retreat is the perfect place for your Colorado getaway.

    • Creede Repertory Theatre – 0.3 miles / 5-minute walk

    • Rio Grande River access – 2 miles / 7 minutes
    • Lake City – 50 miles / 1 hour 15 minutes
    • South Fork – 22 miles / 30 minutes

    –Good to Know–
    • STR Permit #: 1040.000-2026
    • 4WD/AWD is required year-round.
    • The driveway is very steep and may not be suitable for all vehicles.
    • Parking is extremely limited. Trailer parking is not available.
    • ATVs may not be ridden to or from the property.
    • Our home is pet-friendly! We welcome up to 2 dogs. The pet fee is $40 per day, up to a maximum of $250 per stay.
    • Access to the sleeping loft is via a steep staircase, which may not be suitable for young children or guests with mobility concerns
    • No A/C: As is common in the area, this property does not have air conditioning
    • All stays over 30 days will require a mid-stay clean. Longer stays will require cleaning every 30 days. This will be an additional guest expense.

Great place to stay in Creede! Breathtaking mountain views, and it’s walkable to restaurants and the grocery store. We also appreciated the large bathroom and washing machine/dryer. One small nit - they only provide one day’s worth of coffee, so if that’s important to you, be sure to bring your own.

It's a great place, but you do need to make a run at the driveway, to get up the hill. Otherwise, it was a cool litttle place and had great views.

Hated to leave..

The house was perfect for our family trip. Beautiful views, wildlife visited daily, and right about Creede. We will definitely be back and continue to stay in VRC properties! Amanda was amazing and so helpful!! We hope to go back sooner than later!

The views at this property are absolutely amazing. We loved walking to the theater and another downtown events from the house. Highly recommend this quaint and rustic home for your next stay in Creede. Just a note for access: 3rd Street going up the hill is closed. The only access to the house is from Capital Street. The ascent to the house is very steep and not marked. If you set your Google maps to directions for walking, that’s your best bet.

Cozy Cabin

This property, located in the breathtaking town of Creede, has all the amenities of a home away from home. A very clean and modern property that is just the right size for a small group of friends or family. There are stairs leading up to the porch from the parking space. I would not recommend this cabin if you have mobility issues. For anyone else though, this is a must see and stay at location.

Rustic and Charming

Rustic and charming home on top of the mountain. Great view of the mountains. House had a shut up smell. But a little airing out did help. Steep drive up the to house. Deer in the yard one evening. Was a good place to stay. Enjoyed being there.

The house was very good.The communication from the property manager could be better.They told us to run the dishwasher, rental does not have a dishwasher.They wanted us to roll down the trash can at 7am. No, trash can was already down by street and we threw away trash when we left at about 8:30am

Cute cabin with steep stairs

This cabin is charming. It has a nice view of the town. It was very clean and we appreciated the large bathroom with a washer and dryer. There is only one railing on the very steep stairs to the sleeping loft. The floors are also rather rough and do not have any rugs. I did not feel comfortable forgoing socks on these floors.
