It's easy to relax at this Canal-front house in Oyster Bay, Florida. We have 4 kayaks and a canoe so you can paddle to the open gulf only 1/4 mile away or just fish off the dock. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sleeps 8, the 4th bedroom has queen bed. Main bedroom has jacuzzi-tub, dual shower, coffee bar, screened-in porch. Tie your boat right to our dock. Boat ramp 1/4 mi. away. Game room has air hockey, foosball and pingpong. Visit nearby beaches.

PET POLICY: —we allow ONE small to medium sized pet (10 to 40 lbs), though we will make an exception for:
one (1) quiet, well-behaved larger sized pet over 40lbs. or two (2) small pets under 20lbs.

Must email in advance for approval for any pets over 40lbs. There is a standard $100 pet fee for each pet.

Two kayaks and two canoe, with all paddles and life-jackets. Boat Dock for your boat, boat trailer parking across street. 1000sq. ft of Deck, screened porches and Florida Room, Game room with Ping Pong table, Foosball table, air hockey table, corn hole game, full-sized video arcade. Beach chairs for six and beach umbrella, propane grill with grilling utensils, Charcoal grill, firepit. Home office with dedicated workspace for remote work--adjustable desk, ergonomic chair, power strip.
The "Oyster Bay House" is an ideal place to relax and recharge. Boat dock in your backyard. Put in at a public boat ramp only 1/4 mile away by canal, then tie up at our dock. House sleeps up to 8 adults. Xfinity internet with high-speed linksys router. Lots of decks space in front and back with lounge chairs. Game room with ping pong, air hockey and foosball, and board games for kids (monopoly, game of life, chutes and ladders, jenga tower) plus decks of cards for poker. Fully stocked kitchen. Big family room and florida room.

Several beaches in the area, just a short drive. We have beach chairs and umbrella. Bring a boat and tie up at our dock and be in the gulf waters in 2 minutes.
St.marks lighthouse only 20minutes , Panacea marine aquarium only 20minutes, Hike the national forests and explore.

This is a wonderful, rustic property in a great, quiet area. We reserved the home for our son’s graduation from FSU and our family had a terrific time here. There were six of us and the house was roomy and well appointed. Get outside and enjoy the beauty of old Florida. We saw an adorable, inquisitive otter swimming around in the canal. A little far from grocery stores but the host does indicate that in the description so bring what you need so you don’t have to make any extra trips to Aldi or Publix. We would stay here again for sure!

Mark, the host was very welcoming, responsive and very helpful prior to and during our stay.The property and amenities were as noted and everything was clearly laid out in the property information package. A great location for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore more of this part of Florida. Wonderful home to enjoy time on the water with friends and family. If Destin and Rosemary Beach just make you sad for the old days of Florida when there were living creatures all around and the night sky was magical, this is the place for you. So many birds- osprey around lots. Saw tons of dolphins. Water super clear for snorkeling and saw crabs, starfish, many kinds of fish and found enough scallops one night for tasty dinner. Comfy beds, serviceable kitchen, nice assortment of outdoor spaces so shade and sun seekers can find a good spot. Nice yard and walking space for our dog. TV and Wifi work great so no football was missed. Tricky to get through the cut to the shallow bay that leads to the canal but once you figure out the right path then water plenty deep to get boat in and out even at low tide.

Excellent family getaway!

This is such agreat vacation home for families with children! Our kids had such a blast! The home was so clean, and convenient to everything-- especially the gulf! So many amenities at the house we hardly left unless we were on a boat. A 10 out of 10, by far, and will DEFINITELY be back!

Sadly, not a good experience

As a previous owner of 4 VRBO properties, I am hesitant to give anyone a less than positive review. I will say that my conversations with the owner were pleasant and he gave me good advice about the area. The house though is in pretty bad shape. Many doors won’t close properly, the screens and shades on the porch are in tatters, many light bulbs are out, the remains of the gas grill are held up by a bench and a board. The small dock is only accessible at high tide. There are safety concerns with nails sticking through the handrail on the front porch and loose boards on the dock. Many small irritants like a tv remote missing the volume control, no stopper in the bathroom sink, and broken shelves in the refrigerator added to the overall negative impression of the rental experience.

My kind of Florida

Wonderful stay in this beautiful area. House was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Outside screened in porch was our favorite spot. Everything was operational. Did not miss the cable TV. Was a restful place to return to after nature walking all day.

Great Getaway

This older coastal home was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the nature all around us. We decided this is definitely going to be a new tradition for the holidays and would love to go back to this beautiful place.

Long weekend getaway

Great location . A much needed getaway since our “week” vacay was scheduled during the week the hurricane hit our town 😳 anyway we had a great time, caught lots of redfish and enjoyed nearby restaurants. If you are in the area give The Trident a try. It was really good 👍 House well equipped, nice dock and boat ramp close by . Great host .. thank you 😊

Spacious and peaceful

The house and location were ideal for our large blended family. Enough room for our five kids to spread out and plenty to keep them occupied. Plus, the master suite was a nice sanctuary for me and my husband. I spent time each morning reading on the screened porch off the master - so peaceful! Definitely recommend this house!

Outdated Property

The property fees are outrageous. The nightly rate was fair but the fees totaled more than 50% of the rental! The home is terribly dated and not well kept. The nearest grocery store is 25 minutes away. If you are going to this area then I recommend staying on the Wakulla river instead. This property has some games - an arcade game which is very very slow - no one will enjoy playing on it when their smart phone is handy. The game room is so tiny that you cannot really play ping pong or foosball. The airhockey table does not have enough air to keep the puck up. The grill is unusable. Three of the beds are uncomfortable, the room with two twin beds is too tiny for 2 people and there is no way to charge your phone in that room. Overall - it was great in the 80s but now it is simply overpriced and inconvenient.

Fun for the family

This property is great for a family! The game room was fun for our kids ages 5-9 and adults too. We enjoyed the fire pit and fishing off the dock. We caught a few whiting. It is great because you don't feel obligated to keep everything clean or perfect. It feels lived in which is great for big families.

Great family house

We enjoyed the large space with lots of room so the family could sit and talk or play games. It gave us plenty of space to be together but also break apart into smaller groups of people out on a screened in porch or game room. The listing for the Oyster Bay house is accurate. I didn't notice the spiral staircase leading to the master bedroom on the second floor in the pictures or listing and that was a bit problematic with all the stuff an 8 month old requires to get carried up there. It was the largest bedroom and the only one big enough for the pack and play to fit in.

FL Big Bend Getaway

We booked this property due to its boat anchorage, access and proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. It is an older home that looks to have had a considerable amount of repairs and upgrades over the years, however, it met our needs perfectly. We found it to be very comfortable and had no issues or problems during our week long stay. We would definitely book this location again in the future if we visiting the area in the future.

Oyster Bay Experience

Had an amazing stay at Oyster Bay!! The house was incredible with lots of space and amenities that made our stay both comfortable and fun. Will definitely book this property again.
