"The check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. "Booked last minute as we needed to break our journey. Arrived at 20.30 hrs. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. As food was only served till 9pm we put our bags in the room and came down for some food. The menu looked good and what we ordered didnt dissapoint. "Absolutely lovely hotel. Spotlessy clean, with polite and very hardworking staff. Parking is free with plenty of spaces. We ate evening meal and breakfast in the hotel, and found the food to be excellent, and reasonably priced. It is about 20 minutes walk to the little town of Amble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely visit again if we are in the area. "
