Cozy Cottage with Hiking and Biking ~Hot Tub~

Cozy, quiet, peaceful, remote getaway. lots of wild life. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place. Buchanan State Forest joins the back of property, lots of hiking trails. Bike trails within 5-mile at Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Kitchen is fully stocked, pots and pans, gas grill and pellet grill for outside cooking, dining room, family room, electric fire place , and two bedrooms on main floor. There is a spiral stairs to go up to the second floor. A third bedroom upstairs along with loft with extra bed. Two full baths. Front porch and back deck with hot tub.

From the front door to the back door. We absolutely loved this Cozy Cottage. The beautiful trees the fireplace. I can’t forget the hottub. This place is well maintained and beautiful. Family Trip

We had 8 adults that stayed comfortably in a quiet wooded area. Nice home with spiral stairs to second floor/loft area. Clean and comfortable, great home away from home.

The cabin was very clean and cozy. We loved the game tables and area for our elementary/middle school aged kids. There were lots of fuzzy blankets throughout the house and the hot tub was amazing and well maintained. We were in the area for a family wedding and this cabin was perfect for us and close to the venue. We even played a round or two of disk golf in our free time. I give this place a 5 star rating.

Well-appointed and Cozy

Cozy, nicely decorated, has everything you would need! We had a very comfortable stay. The cottage has the feel of a vacation home that is well-cared-for and probably enjoyed by the owner themselves, which makes the best VRBO, in my opinion.

My susters and I live quite a dustance apart, and can rarely gather. Shady Pine Cottage is centrally located and gave us the perfect spot to meet and spend quality time together. The cabin was perfect!

Cozy cabin in the woods

This property was so much better than the pictures show. It is a super cute house on a beautiful property. The beds were very comfortable as well as the bedding. There was a lot of thought put into decorating this property. We enjoyed our mornings drinking coffee on the deck. Most of our days were spent on Raystown Lake. It was a 30 minute drive for us to where our boat was. We enjoyed coming home and unwinding around the fire pit. There is a spiral staircase to get upstairs (which was not mentioned on the listing). This worked out fine for us but we did travel with my in laws who are in their 70's and they were not able to use the staircase. The dryer broke while we were there and unfortunately was not fixed during our stay. Would have been nice to have this because we spent our days on the lake and there was nowhere to hang our towels to dry for the next day. Owner was very prompt with answering any messages we had. He was very friendly and easy to work with. One other issue we had was the front deck railing has a very large gap between the top and bottom railing in which our 1.5year old almost fell through multiple times. Again, not an issue if you are not traveling with little ones. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
