I highly recommend booking this place if you are going to Cozumel. The property manager, Alma, met us at the property to check us in and checked in throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. Memo also greeted us and was there daily to oversee housekeeping and maintenance. He was an absolute delight and took wonderful care of us. He even brought a cake for my mom on her birthday (the reason for our trip) which she absolutely loved. The location is quiet and peaceful at night yet close enough to downtown to get to the action easily. We rented a car but you could totally go without as there is a hotel next door that always seemed to have a taxi or two waiting outside. While we ventured out frequently our best days were the ones spent relaxing at the house. The outdoor area is well appointed with sun loungers. Snorkeling equipment is provided and the snorkeling right off the property was amazing with daily sightings of eagle rays, parrot fish, eels, and numerous other sea life. We enjoyed it so much it made it hard to leave!

Great stay

The house was perfect for us, well appointed with everything needed for us our adult children and their partners. The staff was the best we have ever had at a vacation home- Juan was very helpful.The house is about a 40 minute walk to town and cabs are readily available right outside.loved Cozumel!

La Santa Estancia Vacation

Outstanding property that was everything the listing described and more. The interior is spacious and was plenty for our party of nine. Memo prepared coffee, fruit and toast each morning as part of the rental, and we added breakfast/brunch of chilaquiles, cochonita pibil and enchiladas for three of the days, each of which was outstanding. Shaded hammocks and plenty of lounge chairs make the back yard a wonderful place to sit and look out at the sunsets. Snorkeling immediately behind the house is full of life, safe and easily accessible. This house was outstanding as was Memo and his team.

Needs some updating

The location is great. The house is extremely out dated. It not bad just understand this is not a luxurious house, just a great location for overlooking the water and relaxing outdoors. The master bedroom air conditioner needs replacing. Three service calls for repair (over three days) and still every day the unit will freeze up and wake you up in the middle of the night all 7 days. Just understand they have an issue that must be repaired. The furniture needs updating, there is no comfortable room to watch a movie or relax. There are two sitting locations in the house basically unusable, now these areas look great but not really useable because you have to sit on the ground. Yes on a cushion on the ground. Kitchen is 1960’s , do not expect much but clean. Beds are very comfortable, second best thing. The house maintenance staff are very nice and friendly.

La Santa Estancia is amazing, excellent, wonderful, all of the above! Memo and staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The home is beautiful with its architecture and style. The snorkeling right at the house was the best in Cozumel. Close to downtown and airport. We did not want to leave!

Our favorite VRBO house ever!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this gorgeous, idyllic home. The ocean views and layout of the house are perfect, but Memo and Poya and the other wonderful staff at the home made our visit the most memorable ever. Their food was delicious and Memo knew everyone’s coffee order after the first morning. We hope to be back soon! Everything was just perfect. Thank you thank you for the best vacation ever!

Perfection

I can't add much to other's description of the property. It was stunning, well-thought out with beautiful, simple, and relaxing design. We were night owls, and with breakfast, the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. We couldn't have been treated better. Lounging, bike-riding, snorkeling, and just spending time together was so great at this house. I agree with the other guest that advised renting a car for day trips and general convenience. Also, taxis are readily available. Our large group used both and never had any trouble at any time of day getting one just in front of the house, at the roadside. I'd love to stay here again! :)

Spectacular luxury

This incredibly beautiful, spacious and comfortable large villa has been well described on other reviews. Excellent individually controlled air conditioners in every bedroom make for comfortable temperatures for everyone. Daily 9:00am buffet full breakfasts were delicious, varied and completely satisfying, even with our requests for vegan diet. Nice snorkeling including eel in coral 10 feet south from the sea ladder. Two cute bicycles available. My adventuresome 18-year-old son circumnavigated the island on one of the bicycles in one afternoon. Miriam and Memo are so professional, positive, and friendly and helped us with anything/everything we asked for. Fresh coconuts from the garden were a treat! Friendly, shy iguana in the front yard and a tortoise in the backyard - they both like hibiscus flowers. We truly felt pampered and well cared for. We will dream of returning to this idyllic vacation spot.

The absolute best oceanfront villa in Cozumel

This villa was the absolute pinnacle of what oceanfront vacationing and living should be. Check in was easy with Miriam greeting us with a tour of the property that exceeded every expectation that the amazing photos had already set. They were incredible about accommodating food sensitivities and preferences for the breakfast menu, so don’t be shy to ask about that in advance; we had a wheat allergy, strawberry allergy, almond allergy, dairy allergy, and vegan amongst our lot, and they made every meal accessible to our entire group and made sure dishes were well known if incompatible with any one person’s diet. Housekeeping was excellent and returned the place to pristine every day. The decorations and design were thoughtful and soothing. But the gem of this house is, of course, the oceanfront exterior. The cabana, pool, hammocks, and porch living spaces made the absolute most for our group to have together time and more intimate spaces aplenty for bonding and relaxation. (And if you’re a snorkeler, or even a diver on your off time, the snorkeling is incredible; I spotted a mature and juvenile drum fish within 50 yards of the ladder access with the juvenile right on the property’s edge, and so many other fun critters along the wall.) For night owls, there are floodlights on the property’s oceanfront that make for easy night swimming and floating under the stars. The surf is minimal and my group never had an issue getting in or out on the ladder structure, an issue I’ve had at other oceanfront properties at tide changes. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms immaculate and thoughtfully designed. Truly, I have no notes on improving this home. It is oceanfront property perfection in every square inch, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you so much to the staff who made it such a magical time. For other logistics, I highly recommend a car or two depending on your party’s size. There’s room for two vehicles under the carport and we never had any issues with that whatsoever. Down the road, Hemingway is an excellent beachfront bar and restaurant with a trendy nightclub vibe. Grab one of the tables at beach level for a quieter atmosphere and more ocean surf ambience. Street parking is easy to find, and it became a regular afternoon and evening hang for our group.

Casa Maravillosa

Bellísima propiedad ubicada en la Zona Norte de la Isla. Recién remodelada nos toco estrenarla. Seis habitaciones impecablemente amuebladas y un espacio amplísimo para cada miembro de la familia y cada momento del día, hacen de esta casa una experiencia inolvidable y única en Cozumel.
