The Lake House

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay! The lake is a two minute walk from the house. Enjoy a view of the lake as you sit by the fire, or as you play games in the spacious living room. This quiet getaway features private lake access, but is a short drive from hiking trials, local restaurants, golf course, parks and a drive-in movie theater. The University of Connecticut is a ten minute drive from The Lake House.

The lake house was absolutely adorable and exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much care and attention had gone into maintaining it. Pauline was wonderful to communicate with—she responded quickly to all of our questions and provided information in such a kind, helpful, and timely manner. The house itself was warm, inviting, and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We truly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return for another peaceful getaway by the lake.

Lovely Location

The house is small and quaint. It's a lovely location near the lake. Know that the AC window units were not super strong, and the room with the bunk beds was very hot as it had no windows or AC.

Great place to stay !!

Hey there!Just wanted to say we had a fantastic time at your place. It was exactly as advertised – super convenient to everything we needed, which was great since we were in town for a bit of a somber occasion (a funeral). But we still managed to squeeze in some fun! We caught a WNBA game, explored the UConn campus, and even made it to Mystic Seaport. Honestly, it felt like everything was right at our fingertips. And that first-aid kit? Seriously a lifesaver – we actually needed it! Thanks again for everything.

Beautiful property

The location of this property is everything. It is right on the lake, beautiful views and quite neighborhood. It is well decorated, comfortable and clean rental. Accommodates about 5 people comfortably. Host was pretty quick to respond to messages and had made check in & out pretty easy. Pauline left a cute little basket with water and snacks in the kitchen which added that extra to the hospitality. We will definitely book this property again when in town.

Thanksgiving and UConn football game

We had the most wonderful time!!! The house is so comfortable and the location was perfect!!! So close to UConn plus Bidwells Tavern and Lakeside Resturant. We did not use the outdoors but it looked amazing! The host was so gracious and very responsive.

Wonderful home in a quaint town.

I spent three relaxing days/nights here. Great location to UConn so I could visit my daughter. Pretty lake, lake views and the Fall leaves were gorgeous. The house is fully stocked with anything you would need. I didn't use the firepit or outside area but the backyard looks lovely and the house is a very short walk to the water. We went hiking and apple picking and had a great dinner at the Lakeview restaurant.

Everything you need for a quiet getaway.

The location of the house to the lake was great. You can sit in the yard and see the lake and it is a very short walk to the beach. Would absolutely stay here again. The host was great at answering any questions we had. A+++
