My wife and I wanted to visit the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, but didn't want to do the whole touristy thing. This place and the area is what we were looking for. Although there is a Super Walmart and many local restaurants within a 20 minute drive, the cabin itself is in a fairly quiet area - not quite in the woods, but close. The cabin itself was basically immaculate. Not really rustic as you might expect from a "cabin": it e even included fast WiFi, with enough signal strength to easily reach the firepit in the back. The firepit was one of our favorite things, where we spent almost every evening with a glass of wine (or two) and listening to the sounds of the birds and other wildlife. Cooking on a charcoal grill was interesting... it's probably been 30 years since the last time I did that.
We did try the hot tub one night (when it was raining so we couldn't sit by the firepit). It was on the small side but plenty large enough for two... the one thing about it was that it was fairly loud, which is the only downside we really found to this cabin.
Definitely a place we would consider returning to.
