Mareverde is a splendid seafront cottage with a pool on the La Franchina property, nestled in one of the most beautiful stretches of cliffs in Salento.
In a natural oasis, known for its salt roads, and surrounded only by the sea, cliffs, and stone trulli.
Seafront pool.
From June 1st, the beautiful above-ground pool will be open for guests' use.
The sea is a 50-meter walk from the house.
La Franchina consists of a total of three cottages.
MARE VERDE is the one on the left and has a double bedroom, a small bathroom with a toilet, sink, shower, and window; a living room/kitchen with a table and chairs, where an extra sun lounger (with a net) can be added.
What makes it particularly pleasant is the charming private veranda equipped with a barbecue, awning, a table for 4, a swing, two sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and a hammock hung from a majestic, centuries-old olive tree in the center of the veranda. This is the real living room, where you spend almost all your time.

Please note: there is no phone signal, and the Wi-Fi signal is weak at certain times of the day.

The sea view, needless to say, is superb.

The rustic garden, sloping down to the cliffside among centuries-old holm oaks and olive trees, offers wonderful shady corners for relaxation. There is another large, shared seafront terrace here, equipped with a wood-fired oven, barbecue, sun loungers, and hammocks. The coastline in front, just a few dozen meters away, is rocky, but the sea is easily accessible via old paths known in dialect as 'mazzacane', 'varchicedda', and 'scalamasciu'.

Enkel standard med allt du behöver! Underbar utsikt över havet från mysig uteplats. Enkel självincheckning och trevlig kontakt med ägaren. Ett stillsamt ställe med vackra omgivningar.

My husband & I had the most wonderful time in this very pretty authentic accommodation. Such a romantic setting with stunning views & very peaceful. The accommodation as basic as it is had everything we required & needed, the outdoor shower was just brilliant. Livia, the host’s daughter, was most helpful with supplying us with all the local information & her tips for eating out etc..Bruno & Livia were lovely & incredibly helpful! Would highly recommend this little rustic gem!

Accueil et conseil au top, par Bruno le propriétaire et voisin. Seul petit bémol, dommage du manque d'intimité par rapport au 2ème appartement à côté. Super séjour. 👍

Heaven

I arrived by myself, which was something of an adventure getting there from the Naples airport, but well worth the distance and drive! As I was driving to the house with the sea on my left, it was such a beautiful and calming experience, and I knew it was going to be a great stay. The house was lovely and just the perfect size for me and my friend who eventually joined me a few days later. The pool was a welcome treat after a long day of beaches and sight seeing every day. The manager was also kind enough to give us an extensive list of "must see" places in the area, and I thing we hit them all! Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again!

A Happy Week

We spent a happy week in one of the Franchina cottages. The view from our patio was breathtaking, blue skies and a perfect view of the Adriatic. Glorious sunshine every day with a pool to dip into when we needed to cool down. Swimming in he sea, a few minutes from our cottage, was fabulous too although too rough some days to make this possible. The cottage itself has all the basics for simple cooking and a second shower outside provides a lovely warm experience and great views of the sea Bruno, the host was very helpful from the time we booked until the day we left. He was quick to respond to our messages and requests. He was very willing to provide information about places to swim, eat and visit in the area. We loved every minute of our stay.

Beautiful get away.

A view that just relaxed you, and everything you needed in a small home. Isolated, which suited us, with rugged cliff top walks. Clear water, nice snorkelling. Bruno, the owner, could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Peace for the soul.

When we read the description of this property we thought it woud be ideal for our plans - a quiet place without the distractions of the modern world. The setting of the cottage met these requirements - a view of the sea with no filters except a few ancient olive trees. Our host Bruno was always available in an elegant and understated manner , providing assistance and invaluable information about restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for a place which allows for relaxing the soul , this is it.

A metà settembre abbiamo passato una piacevolissima settimana alla Franchina, un posto incantevole in mezzo alla natura tipicamente mediterranea. La casetta é ben attrezzata e dalla terrazza si ha una bella vista sul mare. Una piccola piscina, attualmente costruita, completa il comfort dell'abitazione. Per noi é stato il secondo soggiorno alla Franchina e non sarà senz'altro l'ultimo. Un grazie al signor Bruno e alla sua signora per la loro gentilezza e ospitalità.

Fantastic Time in Pulia

Bruno and Livia are just wonderful hosts. The translation of the german description of the place in Corsano was unfortunately not quite correct but Bruno found immeditatly a solution for the "problem" and us. The place itself is peaceful, clean and surrounded by nature. Thanks to you two again for everything!

Häuschen in schöner Lage

Das Haus liegt in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Die Umgebung ist liebevoll gestaltet. Ein Auto ist erforderlich. ( Einkauf, Restaurant) Wir erwarteten ein eigenes Ferienhaus für uns alleine. Es waren aber 2 vermietete Hausteile. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Es war eher kühl und es regnete ab und zu. Die Folge davon: Ein kühles, unangenehm feuchtes Schlafzimmer. Es hatte eine Klimaanlage mit Heizung. Trotzdem setzten einige Gegenstände, wie Strohhut, Sandalen, Bettdecke Schimmel an.

Ruhe in der Natur

Sehr ruhig gelegen: ideal für Ruhesuchende. Wundervolle Terrasse mit Grill und Aussendusche und vor allem toller Aussicht auf das Meer. Die Wohnung ist einfach aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Bad ist sehr klein. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

A brilliant place

Quiet, sensational view, a Hollywood swing, a big terrace with a dining table, a barbecue - staying here for 6 weeks with Bruno being a wonderful host have been a perfect vacation. Highly, highly recommendable! Thank you, Bruno. Pretty sure we come back.

A slice of paradise in Salento

We had a wonderful stay at Franchina during mid-October. The location is beautiful and tranquil, a slice of paradise. From the terrace there are views straight over the sea, perfect for catching the sunrise, and on clear nights a great view of the stars. Swimming is a few minutes away if you fancy some snorkelling, a few minutes drive to Marina Serra, and the beautiful sandy beaches of Pescoluse and Baia dei Turchi easily accessible within an hour. It's also easy to reach Gallipoli and Lecce for taking in the myriad of beautiful churches and duomos. As we were out of season we made use of the excellent cooking facilities in the evening, including the outdoor grill. Livia directed us to the supermarket in nearby Tiggiano which has well stocked fresh fish and meat counters. The cottage is charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Bruno and Livia are friendly and helpful hosts, a fantastic introduction for our first trip to Puglia, I hope we'll be back! Grazie mille!

Un petit paradis

C'est encore mieux que sur les photos car il y a le bruit des vagues et le chant des cigales!!!Bruno est très discret et disponible!!! Tout est fait pour être bien, il manque juste un petit grill pain pour le matin Sommes enchantés de cette halte au bout de la botte!!! Merci encore à Bruno

Spectacular location, remote, peaceful coastline

If you are looking for a natural, coastal, relaxing place to get away, this is it. We suggest going when the weather is good, because you will spend your time out on the terrace, looking over the sea. Don't miss the boat excursion! It was the highlight of our holiday. We have become entranced with this area, including the small towns nearby. Thank you, Livia, for a delightful experience.

Kleines idyllisches Paradies

Liebevoll gepflegtes Anwesen am Meer mit Traumblick von der Terasse. Sehr sauber und geschmackvoll gestaltet, die Einrichtung ist einfach und schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Bruno kümmert sich vorbildlich um seine Gäste. Die Handtücher waren für einen Badeurlaub sehr knapp bemessen, wurden aber auf Nachfrage getauscht. Ein toller Tipp für Fisch, das Casa Mia in Tricase Porto. Danke für wunderschöne Tage im Salento. Marion und Rüdiger

Il posto è molto bello.Peccato il tempo.

Le abitazioni sono semplici ma funzionali e sono situate in un luogo stupendo con una vista splendida del mare. Il proprietario è una persona molto cortese e disponibile. Peccato che il tempo sia stato pessimo (cosa rarissima in Puglia Nella stagione estiva) e questo ci ha penalizzato parecchio perché essendo la costa rocciosa, con il mare mosso, diventa complicato fare il bagno. Vuol dire che abbiamo un motivo in più per ritornarci.

Vacanza splendida

La Franchina, appartamento mareblu, proprietà #6203574. Con mio marito abbiamo soggiornato una decina di giorni nella proprietà sopracitata. Abbiamo passato dei giorni speciali, l'appartamento perfetto, pulito con un terrazzo con vista spettacolare sul mare e soprattutto la cortesia del Sig. Bruno che con i suoi preziosi consigli ci ha aiutato a fare della nostra vacanza, una vacanza speciale. Spero di poterci tornare e lo consiglio a chi ama la pace, la serenità che questo luogo incantevole ti regala e ovviamente lo splendido mare.

Una splendida vacanza

Siamo stati accolti dal Sig. Bruno insieme alla sua cagnolina in posto molto bello, arrivando da una strada panoramica che costeggia tutta la parte meridionale della Puglia da Otranto a Leuca. La Casa e' carina e curata ed e' circondata da Lecci e macchia mediterranea, tra roccie calcaree dove le piante del cappero selvatico e il mirto si scavano un posticino per vivere. Il mare e' accessibile da diversi sentieri a pochi passi dalla casa. Un Mare bello, azzurro, incontaminato e inviolato dagli artifici dell' uomo. Insomma e' un posto dove abbiamo lasciato un po il cuore e dove sicuramente torneremo. Siamo stati molto bene . Un abbraccio al sig. Bruno e a sua moglie per la splendida vacanza! Fede e Caterina
