You will be in heaven when you stay in this three-bed/three-bath beach house! New decks give you direct ocean views and plenty of lounging space to relax. The home is just steps from the boardwalk to the beach. If you get your fill of the beach you can always retreat back to take a dip in the fresh community pool. Once you’re done with all the outdoor activities feel free to kick back in the spacious living room with a large, flatscreen TV. You can rest easy in this beautiful and inviting home which sleeps eight comfortably with a king, two queens and a queen-size murphy bed.

Everything you need for a quiet and relaxing beach getaway is here at Lost Colony. Located close to town, with easy access to entertainment and attractions while also offering serenity and peace from the hustle and bustle. The boardwalk will take you right to a quiet stretch of beach and the community pool is just steps away. Lost Colony is perfect for the vacationer looking for a place to enjoy the beach without having to fight the crowds.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We have stayed at this location many times in lost colony and we love the location. The second floor doors to the bedroom do not close all the way a little bit of a problem with privacy. Also, second floor bathroom to bedroom doesn’t close all the way, so privacy issue there. This is the first time we saw many cockroaches. I was surprised by that other than that we love this place and will be back.

The views are stunning! The beach is literally your back yard. The house layout is nice, there are shampoo, conditioner and soap provided, the kitchen is fully equipped. The only downfall is the house isn't clean on a deeper level. All the windows in and out needed cleaning and the decks and patio furniture needed to be cleaned. With those views it's easy to over look

Awesome Beach front home with a heavenly ocean view

This is a dog friendly beachfront property- on beach marker 78-79. Perfect location. Has all the amenities needed - kitchen stocked- 2 coffee pots, a regular one and Keurig.The garage had 6-8 beach chairs ( nice to know you don’t have to drag yours) I would recommend a beach umbrella if you use one.The walk to the beach was like 2 minutes. The view of the ocean was spectacular - from upstairs and down. The main bedroom and bedroom on first floor had views of the ocean - could lay in bed and not only hear the ocean but see it! There was a food store approx 10-15 minutes into town, with many restaurant options . I DEFINITELY would recommend this rental!

Early Christmas

Location was perfect! Loved that it was dog friendly. Only a couple negatives. Dog relief area had a lot of sand burrs or stickers that made it difficult to take the dogs to go to the bathroom. House wise all was good except that all the trash cans had an extra bag except the kitchen, which was where we needed it most.The house was wonderful! We had our family Christmas celebration over a long weekend. Plenty of room for cooking a big meal and batches of cookies. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent views

Views are spectacular! Didn’t see any bugs. The showers and some of the sink drains didn’t drain properly. Water pressure very low. Otherwise, would definitely stay again.

Quick getaway!

Our stay was wonderful! The location of this property is perfect. A quiet spot, but not too far from “shopping”. The house was stocked with all you need and it was clean and neat. The mattresses slept very comfortable. It was our puppy’s first beach visit, he thought it was heaven! We’ll be back! Note: The lock on the front door has issues opening, maybe the owners should replace that. Vacasa did help us swiftly when we phoned.

Family vacation

The kitchen is well stocked and there were toys and chairs to take down to the beach. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The boardwalk was right there and the walk is very short. The showers have detachable heads making it easy to bathe younger children. Outdoor/indoor furniture is comfortable. The view just can’t be matched. There were a few issues. First, the windows were covered in an ocean air film when we arrived. We had to clean the windows ourselves. Luckily there was a hose there and a squeegee to do that with. They did not get dirty for the rest of the time we were there so the windows hadn’t been cleaned in a minute. There were roaches. That’s expected in south Texas in the summer. But I drew the line when I found baby ones in the master bed. With the exception of the master bath, the showers and bathrooms are very tiny. There was someone else’s hair in the master bath drain cover. I’m very concerned about the structural soundness of the master tub/shower. There is a definite low spot in it that pops sometimes when you step in just the right spot. When I pulled the sheets off, there were stains on the mattress cover that is zipped onto the mattress and on the pillows. The sliding door on the second floor is difficult to close and lock. Despite those issues, the view would bring us back again. They were so small in comparison. Besides, you’re just there temporarily so it’s not a deal breaker. We plan on returning. That view is everything.

Best View on the Island!

Came for a quick getaway with our kids. Property met all our needs. Hands down the best thing was the view. EXACTLY what we hoped for! Coffee on the deck every morning steps from the ocean. Completely unobstructed views and so close you can hear the waves crashing. It was perfect! The boardwalk was just one house over, so close and easy to bounce back and forth to the house. One thing not mentioned in the description of the property was that the house has a garage that was full of chairs, beach toys, even a wagon. That was a nice surprise. Would definitely rent this exact home again!

Not all bad…

Starting with the positive 1. Views were AMAZING 2. Mattresses were comfortable 3. Great patio space 4. Surprisingly the floors weren’t sandy 5. Plenty of towels Unfortunately i was otherwise disappointed. All intake vents were BEYOND caked with hair and dust. Besides the cabinets and countertops being updated in the bathrooms the showers and bath were very old and dingy. The master bath walls and fan had layers of dust (spent time wiping down the walls and the top of shower) I hated that I needed to deep clean this house to feel comfortable and clean. The dust was so thick on some things it was as if it were sprayed on like insulation. I ended up cleaning the vent in the living room as well. Just super irritating that it wasn’t better taken care of. Has potential…

3 night stay

We were all pleasantly surprised. Right on the beach, which you can drive on all the way to Port Aransas. The views were great and the unit was clean and ready to use for our three night stay. We will be back and recommend to all.

Wonderful Location

The location is awesome! It was wonderful to look out the window or sit on either deck and look straight out to the gulf. We could hear the waves even at night. The sun rose right in front of us. The place was the right size and layout.

Great place to stay right on the beach

Overall, it was a great. Right on the beach, clean and had excellent views. I wouldn’t say “newly remodeled” in post as it appeared more older but didn’t take away from the experience. Only con was that it smelled of mold and mildew, especially when the air conditioner kicked on.
