This spacious first floor condo is perfect for a group of friends or family reunion.
Walk into the gleaming kitchen with all the stainless-steel appliances, crisp white cabinets, granite counter tops, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils you need to enjoy your stay. The island bar has three stools. Adjacent is a large dining table with seating for six, with additional chairs available. Across the open space is the living room with a leather love seat, couch, coffee table, speaker system, and wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Borrow books from the shelves near the stereo. Large windows look out to the patio. Step out the door to the private patio just across the lawn from rolling dunes. The Gulf waves crash on the other side of the dunes, and you can smell the salty breeze. Enjoy your coffee or an evening chat with the seabirds and swaying dune grasses. Back inside, the sleeping areas accommodate up to eight people. The master bedroom (BR1) has a comfortable Queen-sized bed below a print of sailboats and lighthouses. The large windows look out to the dunes. The attached bathroom has double sinks and a walk-in shower with glass doors. The next bedroom (BR2) has two Full-sized beds in calming blue bedding. There is a flat-screen TV, and palm trees sway outside the large window. The final bedroom (BR3) has two sets of Twin bunk beds so everyone can spread out. At the end of the hall is the second full bathroom with a tub. It also has a window for great natural light while getting ready. Located near downtown Port Aransas, you have easy access to the golf course, shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

There was a little confusion about early check in. I called 2 hours before our 4:00 check in and was told the condo was ready but upon arriving the main office staff was saying that the condo wasn’t available yet. Once that was cleared up, we were able to go ahead with our check in. The kitchen has most items needed but could definitely use a few new frying pans. There was 1 and it was very old with and not clean. No sponges available to clean with. The A/C worked but not very efficient in some of the bedrooms. The primary bedroom was freezing cold, and the 3rd bedroom was hot.

Great location

Traveling w/ 4 teen boys for a tournament. Location was perfect. Rooms and layout worked great. Couches are super comfortable, beds were fine. Kitchen was a nice space but lacking pots and pans to cook for a group of 7. There was only one old 8” pan and 2 small pots. The patio is decent but lacking seating. There was 2 chairs but one was broken. We used our own chairs. The boardwalk to beach is about 100 yards and the pool was just a short walk. The bbq pit area is nice, but you’ll need your own bbq tools. The building is older and a little run down but that didn’t bother us. Ac kept it cold.

IR109 good stay

We had a group of 7 ranging from 10-81 years old. The property was good. The boardwalks to the beach were close & a short walk to the beach & we spent many hours on the beach. There are many amenities onsite at Island retreat which we did not have time to utilize but it was nice that all were available. The unit we were in was per advertised. The AC cools primarily in the master, kitchen & living area & less so in the other 2 back bedrooms & bathroom. The toilet in the master does not flush well but all is understandable with an older property. We enjoyed that the living/kitchen/dining area was all open (one room). We would stay here again.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay! It was clean, well stocked and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was close to the beach and restaurants/retail. We'd definitely stay here again.

Mostly perfect stay at the beach!

This bottom floor unit was just what we needed for the week! We brought 4 teenagers with us and everyone had plenty of space. The Island Retreat had 2 large pools (the boys loved the deeper ends), tennis, pickel & basketball courts to enjoy as well as sand volleyball. The walkway to the beach that was closest to us was underwater, but the one on the other side of the complex was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, but could use some updated larger pots for cooking for a group our size. We had a great week and would definitely return!

Summer getaway

Overall property was nice and conveniently located. The only issue was the AC. Did not cool well in back bedrooms. We were gone most of the day so didn't have time to address with property. We just dealt with it.

Nice escape

I liked the place and the property. Had a bit of trouble with the guards not wanting to allow any other cars in for the evening when we wanted to have family over, but we worked around it. It should be started on description that no visitors or only 2 passes nothing more. Also room was not ready at 4 as promised it was closer to 4:30.
