Lovely villa and location

We (Parents and two older teen sons) stayed for a week at Villa Blue. Very nice, homely villa with all necessities provided. Garden was beautiful and in full bloom during our stay. The pool area very nice too. Located effectively at beach level, near but unaffected by Verde Blu bar/restaurant meant that a 50m walk and you were in the sea! Superb!

Beach Location

Lovely two bed, two bathroom property owned by very helpful owners. The house is located literally 2 minutes walk from the beach and very close to lots of lovely restaurants. Beautifully decorated with a lovely swimming pool and even better decked shaded area. The only thing we would say would be that there were no instructions on how to operate anything in the house, where anything such as local supermarkets are, where bins are located etc and that the kitchen is not very well equipped. We ate out every night as a result. Having stayed in many villas over the years I would expect there to be a better selection of saucepans & kitchen equipment and a dish that actually fits into the oven. There is also no ironing board at the property, although there is an iron. Overall a lovely place to stay on an amazing island! Holiday of a lifetime!

Lovely stay at Villa Blue

We were given comprehensive directions to the villa which was exactly as the photos led us to expect. The villa was just right for the 4 of us and we were blown away with the beauty of the pool and gardens and the villa itself. Barbati Beach itself is so close with the choice of restaurants and bars that we were never disappointed with the meals and were even invited to dance at a wedding reception. We went to the local Supermarket and ended up having a wonderful meal at the owner’s brothers restaurant Mare in Ipsos which was superb. Loved Paleokastrites and Glyfada Beaches

Casa vicino al mare

Villetta confortevole, soprattutto per l'esterno. Cucina-soggiorno un po' ristretta e con troppi mobili, biancheria dei bagni da rinnovare. Apprezzabile il silenzio del residence, ma forse perché era metà settembre.

A lovely small villa with beautiful garden / pool area, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

We (3 people) spent a wonderful week in this villa in Barbati. The villa was quiet, well-equipped, nicely furnished and comfortable. The pool area and gardens are beautiful with lovely plants. Barbati is on a lovely part of the coastline and the beach is very clean and relaxed. There are a wide selection of restaurants and very elegant bars within walking distance.

Beautiful villa in idyllic location

This gorgeous villa was perfect for our group of 4. It is in an incredibly peaceful location yet just a 2 min walk to the lovely Barbati beach and a 5 min walk (the hill is quite steep) to the main road which has tavernas, supermarkets and bus stops. The pool was of a good size, warm and clean. There were plenty of sun loungers and chairs etc, and the shady outdoor seating area was perfect for relaxing out of the sun. The villa was well presented, comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, an outdoor bbq and good air conditioning throughout. The area was lovely, very unspoilt. The local bus service goes from the main road and takes you either northwards to Kassiopi or south towards Corfu Town. A special shout out to Supermarket Nicholas on the main road, very well stocked and the staff were extremely helpful, even delivering our shopping back to the villa. Also, the Starlight Taverna on the main road, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. With two vegetarians in our group, they spent time with us to inform us of the veggie options as they dont always advertise them on the normal menu. We highly recommend this villa and can't wait to return!

Gorgeous villa on Barbati beach

We loved the location of this beautiful villa, right by the Barbati beach! The sleeping arrangements are good only for 4 people max. I don't understand how you can fit 6 people there, as advertised. It's a very comfortable villa and we recommend it to a single small family. Our only complaint was we asked to fix a shower head in one of the bathrooms, and when we came back to villa, water was turned off in the whole place. We called emergency number and someone went to turn it on in a middle of the night. We got our water in the morning. The other suggestion is to have a little more condiments in the kitchen. There are no salt, pepper, cooking oil at all. We had to buy every little thing and a toilet paper plus shower soap for ourselves. Otherwise we totally enjoyed our stay at the Villa Blue and would definitely return at some point in the future!

Great place, fantastic pool & location - couple of tweaks would make it even better.

We spent 10 days here in August and had a great time. The house is well presented, modern, clean & cool, beds comfortable enough, great location for the beach, beach cafes & local supermarket, although to get to the tavernas it is a bit of an uphill walk! The pool is lovely, warm and big enough for the kids to have loads of fun in, our 15 & 11 yr old were in there first thing in the morning and last thing at night! On the slightly down side - it is definitely not for 6 people, it's fine for 4, maybe 5 at a push. Also the kitchen is somewhat under equipped, there were about 5 mis-matched drinking glasses & a bit of a random selection of crockery. Needs a much better supply of normal drinking glasses, mugs, plates, bowls! Having said that we had a great time - if you go, definitely book a boat with Spiros boat hire about half way up the beach - a great way to spend the day!

Ideal for our needs! Our stay was a ‘wonderful experience’!

We found the villa was perfect. We were a party of four and found the accommodation was suited to our needs. It was as described and so we were not disappointed. The outside area around the pool was good and the outside dining area was ideal. The swimming pool was adequate and the area around it perfect for sunbathing. The pool side shower was not working quite as you would expect as it squirted water everywhere but this was not a problem as you could still shower under it, as did every one else who were nearby. This was reported to the owner who paid a visit to sort another issue that occurred during our stay. We were able to explore the entire island in a hire car and we were able to walk into the village of Barbati, after a short, steep walk to the main road, where there are a number of local shops and tavernas. We also walked down to the beach where there are a number of bars and lounger chairs on the pebbly beach where we enjoyed a drink and had a dip in the sea. There is also a water sports area on the beach with various activities to enjoy. There are plenty of local supermarkets in the area but we found there was an AB Supermarket in Ipsos, 5 minutes away by car, where we bought all we needed. One word of warning though, the AB Supermarket is closed on Sunday however the Spar, just along the road, is open. We experienced a problem with hot water tank in the villa however the owner arrived quickly and was able to sort the issue within 24 hours but it did not stop us enjoying the villa or our holiday.

Lovely villa, great location!

We had a great holiday, the only suggestion we would make is to replace one of the single beds for a normal height one as the one there is a bit too low if you have mobility problems! Everything else was great, the owner came out very quickly to sort out a couple of minor problems and was very helpful and friendly. The pool was well used and really clean plus the beach is only a few metres away-fantastic!!

No way big enough for 6 people, even 4 is a squeeze!

The pros.... Very clean, owner was lovely (even though spoke little English), outdoor area and pool were beautiful, location was lovely, beach was less than 5 minutes away....overall, good holiday. The cons.... Booked villa for 6 adults, no way was it adequate for 6, would not even recommend it for 4 adults. Suitable for a couple and 2 kids. The second bedroom appears in the photos as though it has a double bed and a single, but this is not the case, there is a single bed and what one can only call a pull out bed practically on the floor! The so called 3rd sofa bed for 2 people is not even worth mentioning, we had to, in the middle of the night, put all the dining chairs and table into the garden to have enough room to pull out the sofa bed which results in you sleeping in the kitchen/dining/lounge area, really should not be considered as a 3rd sleeping area, definitely not for 2 people. I raised my concerns to the agents, they were dismissed, was told it is as it appears in the photos, which clearly is not the case, therefore the villa was missold to us. Regardless, as I said, apart from the villa, we enjoyed ourselves. The initial shock on arrival did leave us extremely unhappy and angry, but we tried to make the most of a bad situation. Just a word of warning to those considering booking......

Fantastic location, however villa sadly lacking…….

It didn’t bode well as when we arrived we were unable to locate the key lock and it was more by luck than judgement that we found it hidden under a creeper. The villa is marketed as accommodating six, we were four adults and struggle with the space. The second bedroom was obviously a child’s bedroom and had one of those pull-out beds and when your party is all in their 50’s, spending 11 nights on the floor was not fun. Obviously they are not expecting their guests to want to hang their clothes up as there was a grand total of four coat hangers in the property. The showers were typically ‘Greek’ however the whole showering experience was made worse by the fact that these were hand held showers…… As you enter the property you go straight in to the Lounge/Kitchen/Dining room (which incidentally also houses the 2-seater sofa bed which makes up the 3rd sleeping area), the room albeit small would be adequate if it wasn’t for the opposing 6 seater table smack in the middle of the room. We spent the whole holiday squeezing around the table. The kitchen has good quality appliances, but lacks the basics such as sufficient crockery/glasses and the bits that were there was mismatched and cracked. Outside was a beautiful seating/eating area, however the pool was an enigma, you could not enter it via the shallow end as no steps, so for a group of our age we had to get down on our hands and knees to get in and out. Once in you then discovered the effort had been a waste of time as two thirds of the pool is only two to three-foot-deep, so no swimming. Also, beware those who do not like the mosquitos, the garden is encased in greenery (which is watered regularly), mossie heaven….
