"We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful scenery and listen to the sounds of the surf and birds. Seth, Nuala and David all made a point of stopping by to see how we were settling in and it was lovely to read the history behind the creation of the villas. "I have stayed at The Devon several times and although I was given a deluxe suite the room I was allocated didn’t get any sun at all which made my longer stay not as pleasant as previous times I’ve stayed there. The breakfast selection is fantastic and convenient. If I choose to stay again, I would definitely request a room that wasn’t dark and void of sunshine, especially during the winter months! "Spacious rooms. Great location to CBD. Restaurants, shops are within walking distance. Bathrooms were a bit outdated. Facilities are all offsite eg gym, pool etc. Minimal parking."

"Grounds are immaculate. Great view of the bush/river. Comfy bed. Good water pressure. Manager was fantastic. Good location (7 mins from New Plymouth by car). Quiet, safe. Can bike safely to New Plymouth ( sidewalk to round about on state highway 3 then side street with on road cycle path). Restaurant with yummy food on site. Things that could be better: Had only one BBQ so you need to reserve it in advance. Great stay and definitely a place I would go back. "
