Million Dollar View Cabin By New River Gorge Park

  • Super Private 4 bed home sleeps 8 with a panoramic (amazing) view of the Appalachian Mountains. Only 8 minutes from Winterplace. 19 miles from New River Gorge Park. Access to entire 60 acre property and trails and fire pits. Located only minutes off Interstate 77 near Ghent. Great cell phone reception. Stars out here are VERY bright. Wi-Fi, White linens/towels, smoker+grill, & washer/dryer. This secluded home is an experience in itself. The pictures never due the view justice. The Mushroom Trail now open - free to guests. Wal-Mart does deliver here

    Guests will access the home via a completely private check-in. The door code and map link will come early on the day of arrival via your messages.

    Walmart does deliver here.

    The “million dollar view” was coined by a guest and we hope it meets your expectations. Many of us are working to make sure you enjoy this Mountaintop Retreat.

    We provide initial supplies. If you need more of something it will be up to you to provide them. There is a store within 10 minutes.

    We love coffee. There is a Keurig machine and a regular coffee machine that makes pots and cups. We provide 15 Keurig cups per guest stay.

    Outdoor furniture, fire pit, and smoker grill included with each booking at no extra cost. We do sell firewood for $10 per large bag.

    We recommend 4x4 or all wheel drive from December to mid March. We keep our road plowed so it’s usually in good shape but winter storms can happen during these months.

    The two best things this mountain has to offer is the stars on a clear night and the sun rises up behind the view and is one of the most beautiful things you'll see all year. When the sun rises it allows you to see just a little further than during the day.

    Mushroom Trail is now open and free to all guests. It features over 60 different giant mushrooms, giant flowers, and a large natural sandbox to give your little ones something to do. Giant connect 4, & corn hole boards are also on site and free to use.

    Please no business use or parties without owner written consent. We do have security cameras on site mainly to prevent theft.

    We keep light pollution to a minimum for optimal Stargazing.

    Privacy: Each window features a two layer roman shade that can totally block off view from outside and still allow you to see the view from master bed via the two top windows that are well above anyones view.

I will never stay here again. Owner does not list your property is being actively recorded and there is a bunch of hidden cameras across from the cabin number 1 in a tree that are very well disguised. EVERY site is recorded 24/7 definitely violating laws.

Our stay was more that we hoped for! Anthony was always quick to respond and extremely helpful. The house was MUCH bigger than expected. Very comfortable furniture and beds and all the amenities and more. We can't wait to come back again to enjoy the outdoor space.

Perfect!!

I stayed here with my daughter and son in law for 5 nights and it was amazing! The location and the cabin are awesome, we loved how quiet it was. This is the perfect place to rent to relax and get away from everything. We hope to come back some day!

Phenomenal Stay!

Short but worth it!

We only stayed two nights but it was really great and we'd definitely come back and stay longer. The views are absolutely amazing from inside the cabin and from the deck. The cabin is new and furnished and decorated really nicely. The location is close proximity to the parks and there are some nice restaurants in the area.

Wonderful views

The cabin was very clean, and well furnished. The host responded promptly to any questions we had. We stayed for a week and would live to come back again. The views are amazing!

Spectacular Sunrise

Started each day with a beautiful sunrise and ended with star filled skies. The property is quiet and peaceful. The deck was nice to sip our wine after hiking and exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Retreat. It was clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable while away from home.

A trip for a local wedding

We were all so thrilled with this beautiful place with these gorgeous views. Although we were here for a wedding, several of us stayed behind to work and linger with coffee in front the windows to see the gorgeous views! It could not have been better and we hated to leave! Was so close to the Glade Creek Farm wedding venue!!!

Quick Birthday Getaway

The house was beautiful, well-stocked, and had an amazing view! It was bright and spacious for our party of 4. The house is super close to Winterplace Ski Resort. Our host, Anthony, was helpful before and during our stay. I highly recommend this property!
