"An old, classy hotel. Don’t know about the other rooms, but ours was small as such hotels often offer. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Both restaurants were great. Had a strange problem on our last morning where both hot and cold water in the bathroom were running scalding hot. The engineer had to come and “drain the system“ in order for us to take normal showers. Apparently something that can happen on very hot days for a certain group of rooms. Other than that, a very nice day."

"We checked in on a very busy weekend. Rates were double normal because of the big event nearby. On Day 1 of our weekend thet had run out of coffee beans for coffee. A big loss for breakfast! The response was, More should be here Tuesday. We have Decaf. This continued the weekend and finally Monday they had beans as we checked out. If you are charging a premium rate, you should provide premium service. Someone could have gone to the grocery story a mile away na d bought beans! I was...

"Fabulous stay on our way to Maine!"

"While the first appearance seemed dull and unexciting (boring area), the hotel made up for it. Very clean, very quiet, and good complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. Beds were comfortable. Hotel honored my request for a quiet room away from the elevator. Good location to get back on the highway and very quick drive to restaurants etc. I’d recommend it - the only negative is the extra $100 that shows up on the charge without explanation. (Was auto removed within a day)"

"The staff was very courteous. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was well kept (clean, good re-stocked and fresh). If in the Fishkill area again, no doubt this is where I would stay."

"The check-in gent (Samba his name I believe) was helpful and personable (and speaks 4 languages), my room and bathroom were clean, bed comfortable, water plentiful and hot, and the price was competitive. Further, and importantly, I'm a sound-sensitive person and my room was quiet. For all these reasons, I would stay at this hotel again."

"Sheets were clean, but the headboard was nasty. Floor was iffy. Half old carpet and half hardwood. AC didn't work well. Room was damp and smelled funny. Left us 3 towels for 4 people. Beds very old and worn out. Breakfast was a bag with a granola bar and a muffin bar. No decaf coffee. Pool area smelled bad. Water was nasty. Even after washing our hair, it still smelled. Located 20 minutes from West point was one of the very few positives. We paid almost $200/night so we were quite dissatisfied."

"I liked how spacious the room was for us. The breakfast was portable so we could eat breakfast with our dog. The dog walking area was clean and bags were provided. Snacks were available on site. Nice distance for trip to Beacon."

"I’m not a big fan of leaving bad reviews, but this place is just way too dirty,like they don’t even try to clean the rooms. Absolutely filthy, it’s not even a problem that everything is super outdated, broken down, worn out, it’s just the Scheer level of uncleanliness everywhere. I’m talking walls and ceiling in addition to super gross floors. They’re in a great location, but holy smokes, I will never stay here again and I have pretty low standards."

"Pure luxury and decadence is how I would describe the Abbey. The hotel is located on a hill with a gorgeous view of the Hudson. They have afternoon cookies and coffee to relax and enjoy the sunset over the Hudson. The bed is very, very comfortable in each room has its own thermostat. The staff is very helpful and available at a moments notice. You will not regret your stay at this place."
