Location:

Conca Dei Maini is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It is situated on a hill close to the coast and between Amalfi and Furore. This old coastal village of highly fisherman, renowned over the centuries for their recklessness in facing any type of weather conditions, is yet another romantic idyl which can only be found on the Amalfi Coast. Nowadays, the town, which winds it way 400 metres up between the mountain and the sea, is the best known for its marina, with a handful of houses which seem to be creeping down from the coastal road into the sea. A path of steps and arches twists and turns among the house to eventually lead to the beach. In the high part of the towns, there is the Church of S. Pancrazio, situated on the hill with the same name with a spectacular view. There is the Convent of Santa Rosa, built in the second half of the 1600s. Well-known for the culinary delights of the nuns who inhabited it, a local festival on the 30th August celebrates the creation of the typical puff pastry, Santa Rosa.  While, on the 5th August, there is another local festival dedicated to the Madonna della Neve, with a small chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary on the beach.

The most beautiful grotto on the entire coastline can be found on this strecht of coast: the Grotta dello Smeraldo, it was discovered in 1932 by a local fisherman and is visited by thousands of tourists every year.

When looking for the most authentic and suggestive corners of the entire Amalfi Coast, there is no need to look any further than down the stairway which leads to the beach of Marina di Conca, passing among the houses of the small coastal village. It is ideal for whoever wants to relax, not only because of the breathtaking scenery but also due to the excellent beach facilities, with restaurants and bars. There are two buildings under the cliffs on this beach. On the left, there ia s private villa, while in the centre there is la Tonnarella a very good restaurant. The water is always very clean and protected from the winds by Capo di Conca has a well-known lido, with a sun-beds, a bar and restaurant as well as a small swimming pool for children, all on several concrete terrace which make it easy to get in and out of the water.

Villa dei sogni is on two levels: on the ground floor there is the living area, overlooking a covered porch which leads to the terraces, with a colorful kitchen, a splendid living room and dining room with light and Mediterranean tones. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two doubles with en-suite bathroom, one double and one with a French bed with an external bathroom. All the environments are characterized by refinements and style. Comfortable, carefully furnished rooms with a family atmosphere to give you a peaceful stay. Villa dei sogni is ideal for families and groups of friends, or for couples looking for a relaxing, pleasant and in privacy. Typical Amalfitan style, clean and comfortable rooms with the solarium for "the after beach" where you can relax even more at sunset. You can choose to cook in the large kitchen or you can ask for our kitchen service, then relax and enjoy the delicious dishes of the coast. Large living room with bright and colorful walls, relaxing sofa at the entrance and large dining table with direct access to the garden terrace with panoramic views. Bright and spacious fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, oven, microwave, gas hob, sink and closet. Start a day with typical, fresh and genuine products, surrounded by green and Mediterranean colors with a breathtaking view.

Picturesque house - stunning views

We were a large group of family members ranging from ages 5 to 85. The location is breathtaking and the property itself is enormous. The layout of the house is less than ideal and the division of floors/rooms meant that there was no indoor place for the group to lounge comfortably - this makes it a summer/sunny day house only. The pool was fantastic and well maintained and the property managers were helpful while protecting our privacy and not being too intrusive. Due to the rainy weather we encountered, the property suffered from mold and the smell was not very pleasant. I believe that in the dead of summer, this will not be an issue.
